Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a strong passion for virtual reality (VR) and initially found joy in using the fitness apps on my Quest 2, despite its weight and early tracking issues. Anticipation for the Quest 3 was high, fueled by expectations of revolutionary AR experiences based on YouTube reviews. However, my enthusiasm quickly turned to disappointment: 1. BATTERY LIFE: The Quest 3's battery life issues you may read elsewhere are REAL. It lasts maybe 90-100 minutes MAX. 2. TRACKING ISSUES: which seemed to be even more pronounced than those experienced with the Quest 2. I started experiencing tracking issues after the 3rd use. Tracking issues occur when you move your controllers but it doesn't register in the headset. Kinda like if you'd move your mouse but the cursor just sits there. 3. HEADBAND: super-uncomfortable headband, which make it necessary to invest additional $ to make it "usable". And sincerely if you jump from $300 (Quest 2) to $500 (Quest 3) you better give me something that is comfortable and I want to wear for even that short period of time the battery lasts. 4. OVERALL, I 'd say that the touted "improvements" in the Quest 3 did not seem to justify the significant cost increase. I will return the Quest 3, God Bless BestBuy. I sincerely hope my experience is unique, but I can't help but be concerned about the potential impact of Meta's challenges on the widespread adoption and acceptance of VR. Despite the setbacks, I remain optimistic about the future and look forward to improvements in the VR landscape.

Controllers are comfortable and the MR content is great. Knocking a star off for the stock strap. While it’s easy to adjust it sits over the top of my ears and is uncomfortable.

There are not as many games and there are games where children should not be allowed.

Best image quality for a standalone headset and the controllers are phenomenal for the generation jump.
