As of 2024, this is the best vr headset I would recommend for those wanting to try out vr for the first time.

My son loves this! Says it’s a big step up from the previous one. Everything transferred over and super easy to set up.

This is nothing like anything ive seen before, its crystal clear, super easy to set up, there are tons of games to choose from to buy.

TLDR: Good but lacks pcvr 120hz. If/when 120hz is added for not only standalone mode but also pcvr, it'll be perfect (at least for me). Main Review: It's amazing but the current lack of pcvr 120hz is disappointing. My friends with the quest 2 can run pcvr games in 120hz but the quest 3 can only do 90hz??? That's a clear downgrade if you ask me. As far as I know standalone 120hz works, but I'm using my pc instead. Overall this is a good headset but I'm only using the standalone mode to navigate to the Oculus wired link toggle button. I'm not super interested in non-pcvr so take this review with a grain of salt if you only care for standalone mode. Pcvr users thank me later and make sure you get the OpenComposite plugin from znixian on GitLab for steam vr related stuttering.

Bought this for my son, upgrade from previous Qwest. He absolutely loves it. Bonus is that he can now see while wearing the Quest!

Love it, its my first vr headset, and it is exactly whay ive been seeing.

New passthrough, and graphics are awesome. Tracking is way better, and a lot quicker load times. Mixed reality can be game changing.

Compared from Quest 2 to Quest 3, Definitely faster and better, but consider getting some accessories for added comfort or more playtime with the Quest 3 as ya would for the Quest 2.

VR is power creeping forward with how quicky technology is advancing. If you want a wireless VR experience, nows the time to upgrade.

Definitely an upgrade from the Quest 2 the only thing is a battery pack upgrade is needed

If you were like me and wondering how much better the 3 is than the 2, I can save you some time. Its only slightly better. Ive had the 2 for quite a while and just got the 3 to see if I would like better. I noticed a small graphics update, but honestly most of the games I didnt notice a difference. The color pass through is better than the original black and white, but its still grainy. Overall if youre looking to purchase a Quest, I would go with the 3, if youre looking to upgrade, I would wait. The difference isnt worth paying for a whole new set and accessories. Im going to return the 3 and just hang into my 2.
