    Massive QOL Upgrade

Despite owning Quest 2 already, the Quest 3 is substantial enough of an upgrade for me to justify purchasing it. The resolution is significantly better and, comfort-wise, leaps and bounds better than Quest 2 (I can actually, comfortably wear my glasses in the headset). Whether or not it's worth the upgrade for existing owners is subjective, but I highly recommend this headset for new owners!

I've owned the Original PC-tethered Oculus Rift, Quest 2, and Quest Pro. This is by far the best value / powerful Oculus device to date. At half the price of the the Quest Pro it has a higher resolution screen, faster processor, better battery life, and in my opinion with the add on accessory comfort headstrap is much more comfortable. Hand Tracking is also awesome! Games run very smooth!

It's good. i'd say its not as sharp as the Reverb G2 but close.. like 98%... its just not as crisp in the middle. the lenses though are awesome... clear all around, no god rays or anything like that. also no screen door. can't see it at all. the head strap is crap and not comfortable but the thing is small and light. i'll probably get the pro head strap eventually. wireless is good but it is a bit "streamy". you can see compression at times and its noticeable. wired its good and its a single cord so its not obtrusive. a bit on the expensive side for all these accessories.

Mixed Reality Carries The Quest 3

Having made the leap from the Quest 2 to the Quest 3, my expectations were set quite high. The new color pass-through and mixed reality capabilities are the standout features, delivering a more immersive and lifelike experience. It’s evident that there’s a smoother performance under the hood of the Quest 3. However, the standard head strap didn’t suit me and felt uncomfortable. While many of its features and visuals felt reminiscent of the Quest 2, the Quest 3’s added features and enhanced performance make it a worthwhile upgrade. Overall, a solid experience so far.

what can I say, Its fun. you are guarantee to have a blast with this bad boy on. It's impressive how this standalone VR headset can create some stunning graphics for what it is. I honestly can't complain about the user interface and the performance of it. what I can talk about is the comfort aspect of it. this might be a more personal issue, I believe everyone might have different experiences with. But it isn't the most comfortable thing to wear long term. It's tricky to put on your head firmly, especially if you have glasses. me personally, Its tricky to adjust with glasses on, and sometimes when you think you got it, part of the screen looks blurry and out of focus. But I got say, the price is steep especially considering that $500 barely gets you the 128gb option and the Meta Quest3S dropped which is $200 cheaper and gives you a similar experience. Id recommend checking that out if your new to VR and your unsure about spending $500 on a headset. But without the personal issues of comfort and the dilemma of their now being a cheaper alternative. this a solid purchase, you might spend a solid amount of money on this but you will have fun.

Really really cool user experience. Passthrough is insanely accurate, you can see right through while also having floating windows in VR. Not advised if there's hazards around you could fall into but super cool. The resolution on this thing is crazy. As an all in one device it's super worth the price. One point off for it being a headache to set up on university wifi or no wifi at all.

Lens improvements are the big winner here. No more searching for a sweet spots with the fresnel lenses. The new pancake lenses are clear across the screen. Huge presence increase. Things that are not so great? The stock face plate was uncomfortable even with an upgraded strap and the headset eats battery power even when powered off, not even in standby.

The Quest 3 is everything I wanted the Quest 2 to be. The color pass through brings your gaming into reality. You can bring games into your house! You can have a virtual pool table, ping pong table, and board games in your living room. The lenses are so much clearer, and it feels lighter and more comfortable than the Quest 2. Overall, buy this if you enjoy playing games in VR.

Coming from the Quest 2 i had already been pleased with my VR experience, but the Quest 3 was a total upgrade. From the lenses, to the sound and processing power the Quest 3 is an awesome device to enjoy VR. The passthough mixed really is next level, watching movies while still being able to clearly view your surroundings is just great. I definitely recommend!!!

Great vr headset to use. The graphics on it are amazing and better than the quest 2 and also includes hand tracking for if you dont want to use the controllers. The battery life is less then 2 hours depending on what your doing on the headset.

The lasting charge time is as expected (read in reviews) but still disappointing regardless. There is a permanent "blur" right out of the box no matter how much adjusting you do to the vision. The headset gets hot pretty quick which is worrisome. But, I thoroughly enjoy my new purchase. Much cooler than the VR via PS4 that I've been exposed to in the past.

Previously owned two of the Quest 2 units. After doing a demo in the BestBuy store, my wife and I knew we had to get the Quest 3. Love how all of the games just transfer over. The glass/screen is WAAAAY better than the Quest2. It's lighter and easier on the eyes. The stock headband feels really comfortable that I have not upgraded that as yet.

The Quest 3 has very good resolution and lots of free games. The headset is on the heavy side, though. Otherwise, my grandsons love playing with it. The headset does get hot and gives a warning about overheating before turning itself off. I set up a 30 minute play time with 15 minute break and have not had a recurrence of overheating.

I have psvr 2, quest 2. I really thought psvr 2 was going to be my main but HOLY MOLY the quest 3 blew me away. Its the pancake lenses. Finally, the ever elusive sweet spot is not an issue!! no more eye strain! Older games now look like new! Id say if you dont have a vr headset, quest 3 is the choice. If your upgrading from quest 2, you will also be very pleased!!

The quest 3 works very well. It runs smooth and the apps and games that’s are being updated to take advantage of the quest 3 power look very good.if you have a good pc with a powerful graphic card you can connect the quest to it and have a excellent VR experience there too. The only downside of the quest 3 is battery life. Battery life is a little less than 2 hours

Amazing AR technology. This is a huge upgrade to the quest 2. I am the owner of the original, and the second. This one by far is better in many ways. Smaller and has a better lens technology. The resolution and color pass through mode make this a game changer. Connect up to the PC wirelessly for a massive upgrade in visuals. Highly recommend

Overall a very good headset, it isn’t perfect of course with VR still being a fairly new tech however you definitely get the most out of your money when it comes to the quest. If you’ve had the quest 2 and want to upgrade but are unsure if the price tag is worth it I think generally it’s safe to say you will not regret it, especially if you like the pass through mode. The headset feels better for gaming all together and with the hand feature being improved on, I now enjoy using it quite a bit. I think the only real complaint I have is that the battery life is not the best, especially when using pass thorough. The bad battery life isn’t the most annoying for me, however can be easily fixed with an extended battery. Overall the headsets high quality with a good amount of unique features and when it comes down to getting a headset if you have a $500 budget and don’t have a great PC this one or the quest 2 are definitely your best bets.
