Graphics are definitely better than Oculus 2 and the processor is faster and less bugs. The eye pieces are comfortable and a definite upgrade from the 2.

A lot better than the quest 2, tracking appt smoother and the ar games are fun! Honestly don't waste 999 on the pro and most definitely don't drop a car payment on a apple VR system

Graphics depend on the game you download. Very versatile, theres something for everyone the can use it. My only complaint is the head strap that comes on it. The velcro always catches my hair and although it is adjustable it is hard to get it to fit right on my smaller head. Set up took a while too.

This is a good headset overall but it has some room for improvement. To start, the head strap that it comes with is total trash. Don't listen to all of the YouTubers and influencers who would have you believe that it's new and improved so much that it's usable now. IT IS NOT! The head strap is uncomfortable from the start and only gets worst the longer you wear it. It does not properly lift the headset off your face and puts pressure on your eyebrow and nose regions. For the increased price of this, Meta should be ashamed to not include their Elite strap as a standard option. I picked up the Elite strap with battery and it's better by a long shot. The battery also dies rather quickly compared to the Quest 2. Maybe a software update can help optimize that? Otherwise, the screen resolution, pancake lenses, depth sensor, passthrough, etc. are all welcome improvements and make this system worth it. If you already have a Quest 2, I think it's a much harder sell until they update the software and games more to take full advantage of the new tech. Just be sure to factor in the price of a new headset with your new purchase!

This product idea is pretty cool especially knowing you can get a large theater size screen just in front of your face. Sounds quality and image is great. However after 10-30 min use it gets a bit nauseating. I do not like how Facebook has access to every aspect of my house and connecting days. Battery life sucks. I it gets too hot and the straps have to be loosened up. For a 500 dollar product you’d think the design team would just have the comfortable straps added instead of charging extra. Again this system is innovative and definitely better then quest 2.

Watching movies in 3d in your own private theater never looked so good. The clarity is amazing, the whole unit is much faster than the predecessor. Using multitasking seems to be more responsive than before. The mixed reality has a lot to be desired, but Meta is working on it. Has lots of potential here. I can reliably use my phone while my headset is still on. I even ate some breakfast while the headset was still on. Games download much faster on the headset so having just the base storage doesn't seem to be an issue. Yes most games have not been updated to take advantage of the quest 3 hardware. But games still look gorgeous running on the new hardware.

The headset's faster load times contribute significantly to uninterrupted gameplay, ensuring a smoother and more engaging experience. Playing Arizona Sunshine, a thrilling zombie survival first-person shooter, was an absolute delight on the Meta Quest 3. The standout feature was the system's AI creating borders, which cleverly adapts to the environment, enhancing the feeling of presence and realism within the game. Overall, the Meta Quest 3 proves to be a game-changer in the VR landscape, offering a seamless merging of virtual and physical worlds, remarkable audio immersion, and improved performance, making it an excellent choice for immersive gaming experiences like Arizona Sunshine.

We bought this for our kids last Christmas after we had to leave everything behind and staring over due to mold toxicity from our old rental house. The kids were so excited and didn’t expect it because we had to buy everything all over again and they didn’t think they were getting this. It’s been played every day and still works great, that’s with five kids sharing it too. I’m very impressed.

We all know how it is; tech always has bugs during first release and over time they’re worked out with updates. This has been different. From the beginning this headset has performed well and the CLARITY…..man….I cannot say enough about it ESPECIALLY while playing PCVR games through Steam Link/Airlink. Of course you should first make sure your network specs at home can handle wireless play. If they can, the experience is unmatched! Standalone play is awesome as well with no tracking issues or rings on the controllers to get in the way of manual reloads in first person shooters. The passthrough/mixed reality feature is cool, but a bit gimmicky as not many games exist yet to take advantage of this. The only con I can see would be the battery life. I’ll get into a game for about an hour and suddenly I’m at 38% off a full charge. Now I have to connect to wall power which wrecks immersion with the cable tugging at your head and rubbing against your neck. All in all there’s a lot of good stuff going for it, but still a ways to go. So far so good.

The Quest 3 stands out in the realm of virtual reality with its remarkably clear and immersive display, providing users with a truly captivating VR experience. The visual fidelity is impressive, ensuring that the digital worlds feel more real and engaging. However, its Achilles' heel lies in the battery life. Users may find themselves frequently interrupted by the need to recharge, as the battery drains relatively quickly compared to its competitors. This can be a significant drawback for those looking to indulge in longer VR sessions. In summary, while the Quest 3 excels in clarity and immersion, its subpar battery life requires consideration, especially for avid VR enthusiasts.

Really cool tech with the mixed reality colorized passthrough technology but the price doesn't justify the cost considering the graphical upgrade is not noticeable and the resolution is barely increased. It's still a great headset overall though so if you can afford it I'd say buy it.

So, for the longest time I was going back and forth trying to decide if I wanted the lowest storage option or the highest (512GB). Needless to say, the 128 is more than enough. Most games will not break the storage requirements leaving you plenty of space to download other things. I would say that unless you are a serious gamer/streamer who needs all of that space for various apps and games then get the 128GB. It works all the same, is just as fun, and has the added benefit of playing over Steam Link if you so desire. Overall, I highly recommend this if you are both new or a vet to VR.
