Expensive, but I'm happy with the purchase
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far, this is as good as reviews I've seen. It is comfortable, has a wide variety of apps (on the Quest store plus Steam on PC). The experience is immersive and well designed. I can hardly wait for more apps to be designed with the Q3 in mind. The only downside is battery life isn't great, but its 2 hrs which is about what I expected. Big Bonus: My partner has never been big on 1st person games because she tends to get nauseous. However, that hasn't been the case with the Q3.

Quest 3
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just upgraded from the quest 2 and the difference is insane! The graphics are so much better, it feels smoother and feels better on the face as well. One thing I dislike about it is if you get the 128 gb it doesn't seem to be much space I currently only have 5 games installed and do not have room to download more unless I uninstall some games so I recommend spending the extra for the 500+gb storage

Awesome VR Head Set
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had the Quest 1 and purchased the Quest 3. Difference is huge. Games play better, graphics are outstanding, lighter and more comfortable, and battery runs about 2 hours. The pass through mode is really cool as well. It is spendy at $500 but is worth it. I don't think getting the 512GB is worth it, you can uninstall and reinstall games easily and I've never had issues using the quest 1 with 128GB. My kids love it as well, they argue about who's turn it is, etc. I would recommend, although the $500 price tag is a bit much but it is worth it.

Pretty good but not what I though. But is worth it
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This immersive reality is pretty darn amazing. They have really stepped up there game from the graphics in the quest 2 but still doesn't compare to the ps5 graphics. But it is so much more comfortable to wear and is the smallest vr head set I have seen. Plus there are so many games readily available. And so much more then gaming you can do. But you will need to buy ether a 16ft charging cord or a external battery/charger set up. The battery life and the graphics are a matter setback. But I still like it and will keep exploring new things.

Great overall, battery life is lacking.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really good upgrade from the quest 2. Even though it technically weighs the same as the 2, the form of the headset makes it feel lighter. The stock head strap could be better but it’s a big improvement from the stock of the quest 2. The passthrough (although not perfect) makes it possible to look at your phone or other things without taking the headset off just by tapping twice on the side. The graphics are noticeably better for any of the native quest games. The only major issue I have is the batter life, which has been inconsistent and at times way too short lived if you plan on playing for more than an hour. It’s longer if you’re using the headset for PCVR via a link cable but the battery still seems to drain even when connected. Other than that I’m pretty happy with the headset.

The Meta Quest 3
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Meta Quest 3 is absolutely incredible! Setup was fast and smooth, and everything worked without issues. The mixed reality experience is next-level – clear visuals, very responsive, and the headset feels comfortable even during long sessions. Getting Batman: Arkham Shadow included was a great bonus and really shows off the power of the device. I’m extremely satisfied and highly recommend it to anyone looking for the best VR/MR experience.

The Best VR Headset In The Market Today
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Mind-blowing VR and MR experiences. This is absolutely amazing. Enjoying every single minute of it. I've had the Quest 2 for over 2 years now, and I'm so pleased with the upgrade. If this is your first time into VR you will NOT be disappointed. It's the best you can get out there right now and probably for a long time without breaking the bank. The software still needs some minor refinements because it was just released, I cannot wait to see how it will be just a couple of months from now when they iron out the few bugs here and there. With over 500 games and other experiences, you will not have any time to be bored. Let alone the comfort and ease of use, I could be playing for hours without getting any eye strain or neck pain. This device feels much lighter than its predecessor. I would definitely advise you to get at least the Elite Strap, or even better yet, the one with the battery. Also get the Active Straps for Touch Pro Controllers, You will thank me later. Don't listen to complainers, try it out yourself and have yourself a total blast!

Best standalone vr yet
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgrading from a quest 1 and with the new pancake lens, quality is so much better. I dont notice any screen door effects at all. Battery life could be better but to be expected with a more beefy cpu/gpu. Speakers are way better than quest 1/2 but i still opted for a wireless dongle earphone since bluetooth still lags and not worth it if your streaming/mirror. Passthrough is good only if you have good lighting around while playing, otherwise its grainy with less light but i could read my phone as some reviewers were saying.

Quest 3 is the best so far that I've tried.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the quest 3. I owned both the quest one and two, and the 3 is much more comfortable. The pancake lens make seeing much easier. Games variety has change substantially since the quest 1 days, and the quest 3 has backwards compatibility to the 2 and the 1. Hand tracking feels like its improved. I was planning on picking up the quest pro controllers, but I feel like the tracking has improved on it enough that the pro controllers would show a negligible difference. The only issue I have with is battery life and the accessories. No quest 3 battery pack is currently available due to recall but I managed to pick up a third party power pack that actually charges the headset as opposed to delaying the power down. Highly recommend.

Worthwhile upgrade for consistent gameplay
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The quality of the graphics and mixed reality is a considerable improvement over M2. The headset design is somewhat improved, a bit more streamlined so I do feel M3 is easier to use with a halo and a little less front heavy. With this unit I did notice even with Spacers in place, my glasses were pushing into my bridge forcing me to order lenses for a more comfortable extended play time. Minus 1 point for the elastic head strap that comes with the unit- the strap needs a package upgrade for next release for sure. The unit is worth the upgrade from an M2 for the mixed reality alone and new mapping systems. Overall enjoying the purchase

Great Product for New and Upgrading Buyers
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Quest 3 is a great headset overall. The color passthrough, VR resolution, and performance are great - even as an upgrade to the Quest 2. The Quest 3 is around double the price but is easily worth the extra money - particularly in performance and clarity but also in having optically correct (via depth sensor) color passthrough. I would strongly reccomend the Quest 3 if this is your first foray into VR/MR as the resolution and frame rate make it a much more immersive and less eye straining experience. For those interested in PCVR via third party services, I am happy to report that the Quest 3 has fantastic performance with at very low latency. I’ve been playing plenty of Asetto Corsa and the experience is unmatched. This brings me to my one complaint - the headstrap. I find it comfortable for around 1.5 hours on average. Meta sells an elite strap as well as plenty of aftermarket options. I would recommend spending a week with it first as I found that I rarely play that long without getting up to use the restroom or get a drink. I haven’t found the headstrap to be an issue for my play style and I expect many will have the same experience. If you wear glasses as I do, the Quest 3 can extend outwards from your face to accommodate them. This does slightly reduce your FOV, but there are aftermarket lenses abailable for around $60 and I have found great success with those. Overall, I would highly reccomend the Meta Quest 3 to new and upgrading buyers. The performance, weight, thermals, and third party parts/apps market are all fantastic. You can’t go wrong with this one and Best Buy offers a fantastic warranty option for replacing new for new on top of the standard new for refurbished.

Quest 3
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The resolution for the quest 3 over the quest 2 is nothing to scoff at. I was really impressed by the performance this thing gave. The other upside it has over quest 2 is the weight. While it may not look like it, the quest 3 is noticeably lighter than the quest 2. The only downside was that while playing Beatsaber, the tracking would occasionally blip out for a second before coming back. This wouldn't be an issue if Beatsaber wasn't one of my most played games. Aside from that, I would highly recommend the quest 3 to anyone who is considering purchasing.

Great headset; standard for VR gaming
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great headset, definitely worth the upgrade from Quest 2 if you play a lot of VR. Powerful, bright colors, good resolution. Battery life could be better, but the BoboVR headstraps help that a lot. Recent update dramatically improved the color passthrough; I can easily read my phone screen and text messages now. Easily the standard for standalone gaming VR headsets.

Its ergonomic design enhances comfort, making extended sessions enjoyable. Improved controllers and tracking elevate gameplay, though battery life could be longer. Affordable pricing for its capabilities makes it a top contender in the VR market.

A Leap Forward with Room for Improvement
|Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Improvements Over Previous Model: The Meta Quest 3 has been hailed as a massive improvement over its predecessor, the Quest 2, as it packs in more power and features without adding to the headset's weight. Technical and Ergonomic Upgrades: Priced at around $499.99, it's regarded as Meta’s best VR headset yet, with notable technical and ergonomic upgrades that make it a viable choice for individuals seeking a faster, thinner headset compared to the previous models. Controller and Hand-Tracking Technology: A significant upgrade to the Quest 3 is the addition of haptic controllers, although they didn't meet the expectations in terms of feeling real impact during gaming. On a brighter note, the hand-tracking technology was found to be enjoyable. Battery Life: The battery life was observed to be on the lower side, with the Meta Quest 3 lasting about one hour and 19 minutes on a single charge. Pricing and Accessibility: The headset is considered to be accessibly priced at $499, providing a mainstream VR headset option. However, it was noted that the battery life could be better, and there's a need for a killer mixed reality app. It was also mentioned that the headset is not the easiest to wear with glasses. Game Availability: One of the critiques is that the Meta Quest 3 is in need of more games to fully utilize the major VR advancements it brings to the table. In summary, the Meta Quest 3 is a notable upgrade from its predecessor with significant technical and ergonomic enhancements. However, certain areas such as battery life, game availability, and the haptic feedback of controllers could see improvements. Tried to add photos but it’s saying “Sorry, the upload failed “ sad but hope you got point of review.

Great Headset
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely love this thing. It’s a perfect standalone vr headset and has everything you need to have a great pcvr experience. Quality is good and the tracking is great. Passthrough is awesome but the battery does tend to die faster with it on.

Worth every penny!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This headset is hand over fist better than the last model and is extremely versatile. It works flawlessly with the supernatural app just like it's predecessor and is more comfortable than ever. I do feel like the battery life leaves some to be desired and the accessories that are meta branded are a joke price wise. If you're looking for a headset that doesn't require a degree in engineering to setup and can be played standalone, this is it.

Great first headset, worth a look otherwise
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been into VR for a while but generally avoided Meta's ecosystem. However, I think the Quest 3 really has a lot going for it: - Good per-eye pixel count (better than the Valve Index, which was my current go-to) - Pancake lenses (these are huge, the headset is slim and light and clarity is excellent) - Good controllers. It's really impressive how far inside-out tracking has come and how easy it is to use. Unless you're competing in the Expert+ leaderboards on Beat Saber you're not likely to notice a difference vs outside-in solutions - Reasonable standalone library (lots of excellent lighter games like Beat Saber, Pistol Whip, etc.) with some good Oculus studios support (Population: One for free and the Asgard's Wrath 2 bundle) - Airlink or Virtual Desktop work pretty well for PCVR. I wouldn't say they're perfect, I still notice some compression artifacts. Airlink in particular is a little finnicky. But wireless PCVR is quite impressive. - I went with this model, the 128GB, as when I'm writing this 128GB is plenty of storage for games. This may change in the future as more games receive Quest 3 patches. Overall, these were enough to tip the scales for me. I don't regret my Quest 3 purchase at all. I did have to pick up the elite strap for comfort, but reading other reviews maybe I just have a weirdly shaped head. Battery life leaves a little to be desired (I get around 2 hours and 1 or so extra with the elite strap + battery) - but personally my VR sessions are never that long so it hasn't been an issue. Controller battery life is excellent, using the included AAs I'm still at over 75% after a week of usage.
