Upgrading from the Quest 2 is not worth it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming from the Quest 2, the Quest 3 was a very marginal upgrade at best. Not worth the upgrade cost, in my opinion. The weight distribution with the stock head strap is poor. Now that the device is thinner than the Quest 2, the Quest 3's weight is simply shifted closer to your face. The weight is still there though, it feels heavier after a while in fact. The updated lenses do help with FOV and reducing the "screen door" effect slightly. However, the passthrough clarity is so finnicky with the ambient lighting that it makes using "Mixed Reality" content more trouble than it is worth. In my setup, the room is lit with LED smart bulbs. They have to be set so the brightness and hue of the room are just so, or you can see flickering from the light fixtures in pass through. This also is affected by natural light coming in from the windows in the room. With the lights off during the day, the room becomes just dark enough to cause ALOT of noise to the point where it just looks like the Quest 2's passthrough, only in color. My PC monitor and TV that are in the room also at times, will cause a very bright flashing/flicker when the lighting is just slightly too dark as well. The whole reading your phone/watch/screen content in passthrough is also very hit or miss. Most of the time, where your hands are the warping around your hands makes your phone unreadable, and the brightness of a device typically needs to be adjusted down to actually see/read anything on the screen. When connected to my PC, both via the official Link cable or AirLink, the performance increase compared to the Quest 2 is almost non-existent. I will be returning my unit and just continue to use the Quest 2.

It’s okay
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Son didn’t really care for it. He said it’s very uncomfortable to wear. Even with a different head strap it still felt really uncomfortable.

Quest 3 review
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The quality of the westering is pretty good. It is an upgrade from the quest 2. You have to build a tolerance of the screen being so close and motion sickness.

3rd Party headstrap is not optional, it is a must.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Screen resolution is indeed alot better, but the weight of the headset is still a huge problem. it presses down on your cheek and forehead alot that I cannot play for more than 1-2 hours.

Quest 3
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently got my hands on the Meta Quest 3 from Best Buy and I must say, it's nothing short of magical. Right from the sleek packaging to the first experience of diving into mixed reality, it's been a thrill. The Quest 3 came with 128GB of storage, which is ample for all my favorite games and experiences. The setup was a breeze and before I knew it, I was exploring different virtual realms. The resolution is crisp and the immersion is next level. I've tried VR before, but the Mixed Reality aspect of Quest 3 takes it to a whole new level. One of the highlights for me was the inclusion of Asgard's Wrath 2 with the purchase. As a fan of Norse mythology, this was the cherry on top. The gameplay is engaging and the graphics are stunning. The device is comfortable to wear for extended periods, thanks to the improved durability of the Elite Strap. I also purchased the Quest 3 Elite Strap with Battery, which extended my playtime significantly. The overall build quality feels premium and sturdy.

Good headset BAD panels.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There's lots of reports of dead pixels in the Quest 3. This was a quest 2 issues, so it is sad they didn't fix it. Overall quality is better but now I have to go exchange the headset.

Maybe another Generation
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A bit lack luster and the UI is very janky and incompatible with some of the VR games I wanted to play. Forces you to create a meta account which I didn't appreciate. The singular color option makes it so that it gets dirty rather quickly. It's heavy especially when adding any kind of supporting mounts.

Great if you get good headset
|Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.[Employee of bestbuy] Gave a 3 star review because my first quest 3 came with a cluster of dead pixels and for a $500+ headset could definitely have better quality control

Its great
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is grat. Better than the quest 2. But if you are not too picky with graphics and have a quest 2, there is no need to get this. The only super annoying thing, is that you have to have facebook. And if it is for your kid, facebook will be bothering with security nonsense. Five stars if facebook was not involved, but even when they say they will not, they always return.

Hold Off
