The Quest 3 is everything I wanted the Quest 2 to be. The color pass through brings your gaming into reality. You can bring games into your house! You can have a virtual pool table, ping pong table, and board games in your living room. The lenses are so much clearer, and it feels lighter and more comfortable than the Quest 2. Overall, buy this if you enjoy playing games in VR.

It's good. i'd say its not as sharp as the Reverb G2 but close.. like 98%... its just not as crisp in the middle. the lenses though are awesome... clear all around, no god rays or anything like that. also no screen door. can't see it at all. the head strap is crap and not comfortable but the thing is small and light. i'll probably get the pro head strap eventually. wireless is good but it is a bit "streamy". you can see compression at times and its noticeable. wired its good and its a single cord so its not obtrusive. a bit on the expensive side for all these accessories.

Mixed Reality Carries The Quest 3

Having made the leap from the Quest 2 to the Quest 3, my expectations were set quite high. The new color pass-through and mixed reality capabilities are the standout features, delivering a more immersive and lifelike experience. It’s evident that there’s a smoother performance under the hood of the Quest 3. However, the standard head strap didn’t suit me and felt uncomfortable. While many of its features and visuals felt reminiscent of the Quest 2, the Quest 3’s added features and enhanced performance make it a worthwhile upgrade. Overall, a solid experience so far.

Coming from the Quest 2 i had already been pleased with my VR experience, but the Quest 3 was a total upgrade. From the lenses, to the sound and processing power the Quest 3 is an awesome device to enjoy VR. The passthough mixed really is next level, watching movies while still being able to clearly view your surroundings is just great. I definitely recommend!!!

Very nice VR Headset and much improved from the Meta Quest 2. The front facing cameras are a great addition to the headset. It'll need a new headstrap and extended battery purchase.

Previously owned two of the Quest 2 units. After doing a demo in the BestBuy store, my wife and I knew we had to get the Quest 3. Love how all of the games just transfer over. The glass/screen is WAAAAY better than the Quest2. It's lighter and easier on the eyes. The stock headband feels really comfortable that I have not upgraded that as yet.

I have psvr 2, quest 2. I really thought psvr 2 was going to be my main but HOLY MOLY the quest 3 blew me away. Its the pancake lenses. Finally, the ever elusive sweet spot is not an issue!! no more eye strain! Older games now look like new! Id say if you dont have a vr headset, quest 3 is the choice. If your upgrading from quest 2, you will also be very pleased!!

This is my first VR experience that I've bought for myself. I have to say that it really is amazing how it can fool your brain in situations. Like if you're standing on a ledge looking down, you know you're not in any kind of harm but your brain is screaming at you to step back! The visual clarity and fov is good. The passthrough could use an upgrade in my opinion. It's enough to see what's around you but it's like looking through an early 2000s camera phone. The biggest downfall for me is motion sickness.. Man I really needed to limit myself to small intervals at first and then work myself up to longer and longer. The first time I wore it for over an hour and felt I'll for probably 2 hours after! As far as productivity... Eh, you can do things in a browser type environment but it it's not going to speed anything up or make it easier or for that matter any more enjoyable. It's purely for entertainment imo. It's ok to watch movies but the sitting still for 2 hours with it on your head gets a little uncomfortable. Sure this can be fixed with a different strap. Overall it's fun, it's almost more fun to show family and friends to see there reaction!

The quest 3 works very well. It runs smooth and the apps and games that’s are being updated to take advantage of the quest 3 power look very good.if you have a good pc with a powerful graphic card you can connect the quest to it and have a excellent VR experience there too. The only downside of the quest 3 is battery life. Battery life is a little less than 2 hours

The Quest 3 has very good resolution and lots of free games. The headset is on the heavy side, though. Otherwise, my grandsons love playing with it. The headset does get hot and gives a warning about overheating before turning itself off. I set up a 30 minute play time with 15 minute break and have not had a recurrence of overheating.

Really really cool user experience. Passthrough is insanely accurate, you can see right through while also having floating windows in VR. Not advised if there's hazards around you could fall into but super cool. The resolution on this thing is crazy. As an all in one device it's super worth the price. One point off for it being a headache to set up on university wifi or no wifi at all.

There is a need for more mixed reality titles but there are so many great titles from quest 2 and new titles for the 3 coming it makes this one of the best gaming machines period. No PC required, but if you have one with a good graphics card you can use that too. This version is so much better than Quest 2. Better res, pass through lead to great opportunities.

Amazing AR technology. This is a huge upgrade to the quest 2. I am the owner of the original, and the second. This one by far is better in many ways. Smaller and has a better lens technology. The resolution and color pass through mode make this a game changer. Connect up to the PC wirelessly for a massive upgrade in visuals. Highly recommend

Great vr headset to use. The graphics on it are amazing and better than the quest 2 and also includes hand tracking for if you dont want to use the controllers. The battery life is less then 2 hours depending on what your doing on the headset.

I recently upgraded to the Meta Quest 3 from the Quest 2, and oh boy, what a difference! The visual clarity with the new lenses is nothing short of mesmerizing. I was immediately immersed in a way I hadn’t experienced before. The tracking is seamless, making gameplay feel intuitive and natural. I also dabbled in the AR features and was impressed with how it blended the digital with the real world. However, there’s a slight catch - the library of games and experiences still feels a bit limited given the hardware’s capabilities. I’m craving more content to truly unlock the potential of this device. The comfort and fit are top-notch, and I’ve had marathon gaming sessions with no discomfort. The price might be a tad steep for some, but if you’re serious about stepping into the future of VR, the Meta Quest 3 is undoubtedly a worthy investment. The promise of what VR and AR can offer is palpably felt with this device, and I’m excited to see where Meta takes us next!

I purchased this headset as a PCVR headset only. When you update the beta software it works perfectly with the link cable. The clarity on this is amazing, I’ve had a valve index and I would say the clarity on this is even better. Not having base stations on my walls is huge! I really enjoy the headset tracking and over all it works really good! The tracking is perfect and works good with half-life alyx too. The setup is easy and is really straightforward the auto checking of your environment is pretty neat! It will automatically set your play area for you. Overall I’m satisfied with my purchase and would recommend the headset. My only complaint is the headset won’t do 120hz through the link cable which means all games only do 90hz with the link cable. It will support 120hz as a standalone not hooked up to a PC The standard strap it comes with is not comfortable it is worth it to purchase the meta branded headstrap. It’s pricey but makes this headset ideal!

what can I say, Its fun. you are guarantee to have a blast with this bad boy on. It's impressive how this standalone VR headset can create some stunning graphics for what it is. I honestly can't complain about the user interface and the performance of it. what I can talk about is the comfort aspect of it. this might be a more personal issue, I believe everyone might have different experiences with. But it isn't the most comfortable thing to wear long term. It's tricky to put on your head firmly, especially if you have glasses. me personally, Its tricky to adjust with glasses on, and sometimes when you think you got it, part of the screen looks blurry and out of focus. But I got say, the price is steep especially considering that $500 barely gets you the 128gb option and the Meta Quest3S dropped which is $200 cheaper and gives you a similar experience. Id recommend checking that out if your new to VR and your unsure about spending $500 on a headset. But without the personal issues of comfort and the dilemma of their now being a cheaper alternative. this a solid purchase, you might spend a solid amount of money on this but you will have fun.

Dont expect the passthrough to be as good as you see from reviews. its not crystal clear, but it is an improvement. You can do alot in passthrough, but reading text messages is a sttretch, The pancake lenses are the biggest game changer, no more godrays! Worth the upgrade? idk 500 is a big leap just for some improvements. I sold my quest 2 for this so the jump wasnt too bad, but I also use it alot for watching shows and working out so for me it is. Just dont be fooled with Passthrough looking perfect in clips you see on social media
