Overall a very good headset, it isn’t perfect of course with VR still being a fairly new tech however you definitely get the most out of your money when it comes to the quest. If you’ve had the quest 2 and want to upgrade but are unsure if the price tag is worth it I think generally it’s safe to say you will not regret it, especially if you like the pass through mode. The headset feels better for gaming all together and with the hand feature being improved on, I now enjoy using it quite a bit. I think the only real complaint I have is that the battery life is not the best, especially when using pass thorough. The bad battery life isn’t the most annoying for me, however can be easily fixed with an extended battery. Overall the headsets high quality with a good amount of unique features and when it comes down to getting a headset if you have a $500 budget and don’t have a great PC this one or the quest 2 are definitely your best bets.

I usually dont upgrade my devises till at least two generations in. But this is definitely worth while to do. Especially if you dont have a vr headset yet to begin with.

The lasting charge time is as expected (read in reviews) but still disappointing regardless. There is a permanent "blur" right out of the box no matter how much adjusting you do to the vision. The headset gets hot pretty quick which is worrisome. But, I thoroughly enjoy my new purchase. Much cooler than the VR via PS4 that I've been exposed to in the past.

Mixed reality is fantastic! The new lenses are much better than on the Quest 2; no more losing focus every few minutes. The design makes the weight distribution so much better, for a much comfortable wear, especially for longer periods of time and games with a lot of movement. No fan attachment needed to alleviate fogging, either.

There are many things that Quest 3 improves on. First, I use a katwalk (omnidirectional treadmill) and when I used the quest 2 it felt too dangerous to get on with the headset on but now I can with confidence. Basically the passthtough is great, but don't have too high of expectations. The passthrough can still be grainy and warped, but it is still amazing progress. I have yet to notice that the performance of the quest 3 is better than the quest 2. If you use PC VR then the quest 2 and 3 are almost equal, but if you are using the headset for productivity then go with the quest 3. If we exclude the amazing passthrough then the next best feature is that you can read with the quest 3 without massive eye strain. If you were going to use immersed or any other productive app then the quest 3 is really the only choice. Basically, the product is capable of functioning for work and play at a fraction of the cost of the quest pro.

The colored pass-through and mixed reality opportunitues were really why I upgraded. That and I realized my Quest 1 no longer supported the newer games. The graphics, lightness of the headset and pass-through have improved a lot. I’ve beem playing almost everyday, giving my PS5 and Xbox some R&R.

The Meta Quest 3 is absolutely phenomenal! Experiencing mixed reality games on this headset is next-level — it feels like stepping directly into the game world. The visuals are stunning, the performance is seamless, and every interaction feels incredibly immersive. Getting to play Batman: Arkham Shadow is a highlight — you truly get to step into the shoes of your favorite hero and experience the thrill of being Batman firsthand. The sense of presence and excitement is unlike anything else in VR right now. The only reason I am returning this headset is due to an overheating issue during extended play sessions. Aside from that, it’s an outstanding device, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore the ultimate mixed reality experiences.

What can I say about it? Coming from a Quest 2, this piece of technology serves me wel when playing online or connecting it with my steam account. I enjoy the versatility of it and the light weight so my face doesn’t feel heavy. As a glasses user, it can sometimes shift around but overall is more comfortable than the quest 2.

Overall the qust 3 is definitely a fantastic headset and i think most people who want a vr headset this is the one to buy because overall the experience is amazing, now i do have a few negatives about this headset, the first thing i dont like and im sure everyone can agree with me is that the stock strap sucks now thankfully meta is selling the elite strap which i bought along side the headset but for $500 the elite strap should be the default strap not this flimsy fabric strap, my next negative are the controllers now these controllers are definitely a big improvement from the quest 2 controllers there lighter have better haptics and the tracking is improved but if your serious about the tracking and haptics you wanna spend the $300 and get the quest pro controllers which i did now thats a steep price for the pro controllers but their worth it and my last negative is the battery life now dont get me wrong its pretty good but i wish it was a little better, so overall this headset is amazing but when you purchase this headset you 100 percent need to get a better strap cause its a necessity and if your serious about tracking get the quest pro controllers as well

[Employee of bestbuy] The Meta Quest 3 has been nothing short of fantastic. I've been using it off and on for about two weeks and the upgrade this is from the original PSVR is amazing. The lenses feel great. I haven't had any issues with immersion at all. Getting 120HZ is amazing and makes the overall experience super smooth. The passthrough is an absolute game-changer. Being able to create massive screens in front of me anywhere in my home is great. I almost don't even need my two monitors for work anymore, as you can simply create a similar display using the apps. I can't really vouch for how it feels to play wireless, as I really only use the headset with SteamVR and a link cable. Everything works pretty well in that regard, so if you're looking for a capable desktop VR headset, the Quest 3 is just as good as the other options without the necessity of setting up cameras in your play area. The only real problem I have with the headset is the price. The entry level price of $499 for the lower storage model is notably higher than the price of the Quest 2 and the accessories are almost necessary to get the best experience out of this headset.

if you’re coming from the Meta Quest 2 like myself, then I would say it is a decent upgrade for those who will be spending a lot of time in VR. If you’ve kind of fell off the VR bandwagon and decided that you kind of want to try out this headset to see if it’ll get you back into it. don’t buy it. this is a minor upgrade with still an LCD display and even shorter battery life. Now this is something for enthusiast who want to experience the best possible VR in an all one experience, at the moment.

Best Quest yet. Mixed Reality color passthrough cameras are a whole new experience. The slimmer design makes a major improvement on comfort level for hours of gameplay. The new pancake lenses and upgraded chipset show better clarity and graphics. Great time to get into VR for those who haven't experienced it yet.

The Quest 3 is way better than the Quest 2. I had issues with the viewing of the Quest 2, for some reason my eyes would hurt me when I watched the Quest 2. The new features are also makes the Quest 3 that much better, better tracking, better experience and it’s way more comfortable overall.

Its absolutely insane how immersive VR can be. And if you dont want to be fully immersed the mixed reality applications are awesome. To be able to still see your surrounding but be enthralled in a game is so much fun. This was supposed to be a gift for my son but I play it almost nightly. Totally worth it.

The Meta Quest 3 is absolutely amazing! The graphics are incredibly sharp, and the immersive experience makes every game feel real and exciting. It’s so much fun to use, and my kids can’t get enough of it—they’re constantly laughing, moving, and enjoying every moment. It’s been a huge hit in our house and easily one of the most fun purchases we’ve made!

I purchased the Meta Quest 3 after previously having the Meta Quest (original). The original unit was very underwhelming and didn’t really do much for me. The Quest 3 is absolutely amazing! It brings the best visuals, great audio, and some of the best games I have experienced on a VR headset. The unit has a bit of a difficult to manage headstrap, which I have since replaced with an aftermarket version, and has made it much better! The battery does last for my typical games sessions (1 hour or 2) and charges pretty quickly! The headstrap I ordered also includes a battery pack which I use when playing games with a group of people and it gives the unit much better battery life. One thing I wish that the Quest would improve on is the darkeness in the eye space. Around my nose and above my lips the unit does not really block visible light perfectly, so I am hoping that will improve with future designs. All in all, if you are looking for an amazing VR headset without the requirement to be tethered to your computer this is the right one for you.

Truly an improvement on the already fine Quest 2. The Mixed Reality mode alone makes the upgrade worth it. "The Thrill of tje Fight," for instance, not only looks better, but there's something wonderful about boxing in my living room. If you have a gaming PC, the PCVR improvements are noticeable. Highly recommended
