Had the valve for a while but needed to upgrade and it was definitely worth it, with the intigrated software i could just play anywhere, hand sensors are fine if you dont have much light then they start acting kinda weird. Resolution is good. I saw people having a lot of issues with tue steam connect maybe because of their internet connecting but i have ad any issues with a cable is even bette. Only complain would be battery life but there a log list of products that deal with that issue as well as others. Overall if you dont wanna spend crazy amount for a vr set up this is definitely a decent product pr just wait for the nrw steam vr

I didn’t expect to love the Quest 3 as much as I do. I originally got it thinking it’d be a cool gadget, maybe some games here and there. I’m doing high-intensity workouts multiple times a week now, and it doesn’t feel like a chore. Stuff like Beat Saber actually gets my heart rate up and keeps me moving, and it’s fun enough that I keep coming back to it. The headset itself feels like a real upgrade too. It’s sharp, smooth, and immersive in a way that’s hard to explain until you try it. It’s also been great for zoning out at the end of the day without just doomscrolling on my phone. I made the decision to purchase the Quest 3 on release day. I am very happy with the performance, sharper visuals, and better boundary setup which helps you NOT run into things when you are playing games, whether it's a heated boxing match or a realistic shooting game. The hand tracking is better and the mixed reality/passthrough is wonderful and life like. All in all this has been a worthy upgrade but I do have to take a star away for the strap which is still uncomfortable and a complete money grab attempt by Meta to force you into buying their Elite Strap. Battery life is about 2 hours as well which is not ideal. Despite these two flaws, I do not regret the purchase as this is the most unique gaming experience out right now. Get it, you won't regret it.

I bought the Meta Quest 3 recently and honestly it exceeded my expectations. Setup was quick and easy, and from the first use it feels like a well-made, polished device. Enhanced graphics and customization in profile. Very fun but still limited on different games and apps as it is all offered through Meta. Unless you are really dedicated to using a certain app, it can honestly get kind of boring. I would suggest getting attachments as the headset is uncomfortable and need an extended battery for longer playtime. Feels more comfortable than Meta Quest 2.

After owning an AVP for a week before returning it, I was finally able to use a VR headset for what I originally needed… playing Xbox games remotely. I’ve played Starfield, Baldur’s Gate 3, and Smalland extensively, and it works beautifully. Very quick, zero lag except for an occasional hiccup every couple of hours from my WiFi router. After attempting to acclimate myself to the AVP’s tricky hand motion controls, using the Q3 controllers to navigate menus and controls was so much easier and precise. The only minus is not being able to remotely play at 1080p instead of 4k, but that’s a limit placed on remote gaming by Microsoft, not Quest. Even so, playing a video game on a virtual 100”+ screen is amazing. And it frees up our living room TV so my wife can use it for what she wants to watch while I’m gaming. There are a lot of other bonuses to owning the Q3, such as watching movies and 3-D content on a very-large, customizable, virtual screen. My only recommendation is to also purchase a charging station with rechargeable batteries for the controller… otherwise you’ll end up replacing alkaline batteries on a regular basis. And a storage/carrying case comes in handy, as well.

The Quest 3 exceeded my expectations. I had a Rift S and there were several upgrades I wanted in the Quest 3. I wanted to remove the need for a wire attached to my PC, actually I wanted to not need my PC at all, but I did not want to give up quality. I had a Readyme avatar that some players fell back to my default avatar if their VR quality was too much. The Quest 3 is great. I use the Quest 3 without a PC, cable and without a loss of quality. I do not mind the battery life; I have a lot of fun while it is charged, and it reminds me it might be a good time to take a break. My battery charges quickly so if I want to play more it is not a long wait. One thing I was surprised by was that I can use the Quest 3 (in limit settings) without the hand controllers. The Quest 3 needs a certain amount of light for use without hand controllers and once I get into a game, the games seem to need hand controllers, but I am amazed the Quest 3 can do any functions without the controllers. I enjoy that you can double tap the headset and go in and out of mixed reality. I used to lose perspective of my position in the room with my Rift S and I had to take the headset off to see where I was. With the Quest 3 I just double tap the headset and I can see the room and surroundings (very clearly) and then double tap, and I am back in full immersed mode. With my Rift S I had to draw my boundary borders and touch the floor for perspective. My Quest 3 adjusts very quickly to my room and boundary setup is done. It does ask me to confirm the boundaries when I start, but they always seem to default to the correct boundaries for me. It is such a pleasure to be able to go to a room put on the headset and controllers turn on the headset and it is ready to go. Then when I am done just turn off the headset and plug it in to recharge. (Remember to keep the eyepieces out of direct sunlight.) The Quest 3 was easy to setup. The only issue I had was the Airlink functionality. I really have enjoyed the Quest 3.

I've had many VR headsets, this one is great because 1. it's wireless and 2. mixed reality is a blast to mess around with! Battery life is okay, but can be expanded easily. The best thing about it though is that it's COMFORTABLE. If you've used a lot of headsets, you know that usually you have to swap things to make it ergonomic. The Q3 is pretty cozy right out of the box, made even better with the elite strap.

I have been using the Oculus Quest and HTC Vive for years and had been holding off playing Half Life: Alyx until I got the Valve Index. Well I started playing it on the Quest anyway and realized a few things. External tracking isn't great because of the blind spots and extra cables. Visually, the pixels too visible, the screen likes to fog, and I had eye strain. So I decided to upgrade. I discovered that the Quest 3 has better resolution than the Index, pancake lenses, and lighter in weight. And the additional benefits such as AR, stand-alone VR, PCVR, and some things you can even do without even using the controllers with hand tracking. Also, the visual quality is great, and I don't get eye strain at all! It will fog but not as quickly or to thebsame extent as the original Quest. I do prefer to PCVR with a cable even though it's not mandatory. There's some room for improvement of course. Hand tracking would be nice if it extended into more apps. PCVR should be able to activate both wireless and wired automatically-currently you have to manually change the settings-if you enable wired it disables wireless and vice versa. There is an issue when using SteamVR where an alert says you don't have enough vram but it always plays just fine. Users online haven't found a solution to this yet. Overall I think it's a great headset. The tracking is flawless. The price is competitive. And even though I don't really like Meta this was the best choice for me.
