Best purchase ever. The quality is way better and much more slim design.

Was looking at the newer 3S model but I went with this more expensive model due to better resolution. I typically get nausea when using headsets but not with these, I bought some 3rd party head straps that were recommended and this thing is very comfortable and I enjoy using this with the autodesk XR app.

Absolutely Loving My Quest 3!

I use it every single day—it’s become a part of my daily routine. I also purchased an additional headset with a built-in battery, which lets me enjoy longer sessions without interruption. The performance, graphics, and overall experience are fantastic. I’m genuinely thrilled with this purchase. Highly recommended!

A big step up from the Quest 2

The pancake lenses are a huge upgrade from the Fresnel lenses in the Quest 2 - there is no sweet spot as it is clear throughout. The higher resolution is very noticeable - no more screen door effect. The weight distribution is so much better - it feels lighter on your face even though it's actually a little heavier in weight.. and the color passthrough is actually quite good... The strap, however, doesn't fit my gigantic head very well so that will be the first thing I replace. lol

Buyers beware that they will need a powerbank to use the meta quest 3 I really enjoy watching netflix in vr in theater mode using browser app. Also enjoy nba live games in VR. Only downside is the battery life is terrible. I could only watch half an nba game in vr or an episode and half of a netflix show. About an hour or so of battery life much less than the 2.5 hrs advertised. I recommend a powerbank for stationary use. I bought a 20k energizer power bank for watching nba vr and netflix. Some recommend the bobovr or elite strap with battery. I don’t use the meta quest for gaming so those may be better for vr games, but for watching netflix or nba in vr where you are stationary the energizer power bank is a no brainer for 20 bucks for so.

The battery doesn't last long with continuous play, but the variety of games makes up for it. It's also a surprisingly good way to stay active. The platform keeps evolving with new games, though I do wonder if future versions might limit access to current ones to encourage upgrades. Still, definitely worth getting.

It is more comfortable and has faster load times for most older games. It was also better at streaming Steam VR Games with less stutter than the Quest 2. If I had one complaint, it's that some of the older Quest 2 apps no longer work on the Quest 3. A good example is Netflix. On the Quest 2 it opens in an app that can feel like a virtual environment. On the Quest 3, the app opens a web browser.
