Built for initial awe, not built to last.

There is a twist. The Quest 3 will likely bring you joy when you first open it. It looks great! It plays OK too for a stand alone headset. Expect most games to look like a kid designed it in Roblox, and if not that, they look like they were made by the same development template. There are some high quality games, but you can count them on both hands. First tip - everything is always being marked up and then back down to create a sense of a good deal. Most games run 5 - 40 dollars. Sales are run in a pattern so always hold out and dont buy them full price. Second tip - If you have a 3060 or equivelent and canrun OK games, get a Pico headset or some other designed for PCVR. The games are much better. Third tip - The controllers. At 11 months I started to get slight stick drift. At 14 months my Quest is pretty much unusable because the stick drift is interupting all other actions. For example, you click something and it doesnt do anything. You have to manually perfectly align the thumbstick back and click. It is a horrible experience. The nightmare is that you HAVE to have the remotes. Although it fully supports hand tracking, you can login without the remotes. The remotes can only be purchased through Meta and costs $75 a controller.

Definitely not worth the money. The battery runs out in 30 min. The gaming quality is very low. NOT worth the $500.

Hi there. Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. Such a short battery life isn't at all something we want you to experience. Would you be able to get in touch with our support team so that we can look into this for you? Thanks! oculus

      Hey there Patrick!

We completely understand where you're coming from!

To reduce dizziness when using VR, we would highly recommend to start with short sessions and gradually increase play time as your body adjusts. As well as this, a proper headset fit and focus is key!

Wishing you many hours of fun ahead with your new Meta Quest 3 and all the best! oculus

Nicely made headset, just camera quality is not there. Bought thinking the pass through would be clear and look normal…. Incorrect, the pass through is very grainy and distorted, giving most people headaches when they try to use it

I bought the Meta Quest 3 512GB — with Batman: Arkham Shadow and a 3-Month Trial of Meta Quest+ included. When the guy brought it (curbside), there was no indication of Batman or the 3-Month Trial being included. I pointed that out: "Oh, that's all inside!" It didn’t sound right to me, so I went inside the store, and I was told the same thing. I went home, of course, with no Batman, no 3-month trial, and no email with codes to redeem any of this. I went back to the store and talked to the manager, who had some suggestions but no other solution than contacting Meta. Why do I have to do all this? I contacted Meta, and the first person said I had to sort this out with Best Buy. I contacted Best Buy via chat (it is terrible that you cannot call the store directly anymore), and the guy offered me a $50 compensation gift card. It wasn’t good enough because 3 months of Meta Quest+ and Batman cost more than that. I contacted Meta again, the case was escalated, and finally, I got what I wanted. But I literally spent hours (driving, waiting, talking, chatting online). Of course, there was no compensation for that. Lots of words with no meaning, no value. A terrible experience - my last in-store visit purchase. (The Quest 3 itself is a great product - 1 star for the terrible Best Buy purchase and support experience)

Not really good quality. When I tried watching YouTube it was kind of blurry. It was good for movies but not so much for watching on the web.

The Meta Quest 3 is wonderful. However, I could not play for a long time as I was getting motion sickness and headaches constantly. Unfortunately, due to health concerns, I had to return it. :(

It is impossble to find a Quest 3 without dead pixels. If you already bought one you most certainly have dead pixels on one or more of your lcd screens. Google dead pixel finder and see for yourself. I cant tell you how many exchanges I've done. This product is junk and nowhere near worth $700.

Several dead pixels, didn't notice until after the initial return period, if you plan on purchasing you may need to go through several headsets and be warned, you should get the membership option that allows for greater than 50 days

Delivery was botched two times. First time, delivery was set for Monday, but delivery was attempted on Saturday when the business was closed. Repeat deliveries were attempted outside of working hours two more times despite the working hours being clearly marked. Order was cancelled and returned to the warehouse. I ordered for a second time and even through the item showed as in stock, the order was cancelled as it was supposedly out of stock.

Ever heard of a pet rock? This is the 2024 version. Don't buy this unless you love NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! hard to get refunds, I tried to get the 6. Months free meta quest+ but you have to put in a payment option I tried the PayPal link, I even bought a physical meta quest giftcard neither works. Before I put my credit card in I read reviews plenty of people had problems with over charging, difficult refunds. What it boils down to is the technology is 2 star great, everything else is bad. There are so many other pet rocks to spend a feww hundred dollars on with less problems.

You would think that a company charging $650 for a something thats right in your eyeballs would spend some time in Quality and Control producing their LCD panels but no, thats not the case. I’m already on my second headset because of dead pixels on my first and this one has a dead pixel and a stuck white pixel on the same side and just on top of each other. Check your headset and return them if you find any, don’t let this big company get away with this.

While its extremely cheaper than the vision pro, the quest 3 is a just ok option. I had a ton of issues with productivity and the free valhala game. My biggest downside is the necessity of a facebook account. I ended up trying the vision pro, and it only took a kidney sold to get that purchased. It is a far superior product, and shouls be when it’s 8 times more the price. My guess is the quest 4 will highly compete with the AVP. Eager to see the future!

Didn't even get a chance to use this product, This is more a complain on the brand META, I paid over $500 for this VR Headset, Wanted to use it as soon as I got home. Come to realize it forces you have to use a META app for whatever reason instead of just letting you connect to any computer. While my issue was when I would sign into META , it would tell me "there is something wrong, please try again later" I said okay, service must be down, so I tried again the following day for the same error. Went on for a week before I got tired of it and had to return it. Couldn't even get a live rep for assistance.
