The games that are made for my VR are unbelievable. The pictures are are so life like it makes me feel like I really part of the game. I tell everyone that I know that they need to buy one.

He looks forward to playing it over the weekends. I would recommend it! It is a fun way to experience games. Pretty cool device.

Massive Leap Forward for VR, with Only One Gripe

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having owned an Oculus Rift CV1, Oculus Quest 1, and also having used a Quest 2, the Quest 3 is a remarkable leap forward in every aspect. For the newer lenses, to the higher resolution, and greater processing speed, down to the color pass-thru and much improved pass-thru clarity, this headset is a winner. The only downside appears to be the occasional in-app WIFI instability, where disconnects with apps occur, even though we still have voice chat. This has happened regularly across multiple apps, but not on my previous Quest headset.

While the pass-through video is grainy during normal operations (like using the menu, walking around for environment mapping) it goes unnoticed while playing in an AR setting. Not sure if the video gets smoothed out or if you're just distracted by the graphics and effects of the game, but this has been a huge step forward for mobile, all inclusive VR/AR.

I used oculus headsets in the past and the resolution was pretty bad, so I wasn’t happy. I decided to give the meta quest 3 a try and I’m impressed. The quality is surprisingly good. The MR features are the best part.

Here at Meta Quest, we want to ensure that everyone has an account that suits their age. For this reason, users between the ages of 10 and 12 must have a parent-managed account. Unfortunately, children under the age of 10 are not permitted to use Meta Quest.

The display resolution is very good and I noticed no "screen door effect" from this headset. I was absolutely blown away by the quality of the hand tracking and the pass-thru video. The strap is easy to adjust but does leave a little to be desired if you prefer a tight fit. The battery life is shorter than I would prefer at around 2 hours in more taxing titles. Both of these issues are easily addressed with a 3rd party strap/battery pack. Definitely do your research and make sure inside-out tracking will work for you.

I came into the store wanting the Oculus 2, and came out with a product that exceeded my expectations. The device itself is very simple to set up as long as you read thoroughly and carefully. Graphics are amazing and the battery life cannot be beaten as well. Overall a great purchase for a Christmas Present, or even to spoil yourself!
