Honest review here. First the PROS - it feels smaller and lighter than the Quest 2, as you would expect. The Passthrough is awesome and there are more and more games incorporating it into the game for an 'augmented reality' type game. The controllers are smaller and that is nice. CONS - My headset FREQUENTLY locks up and reboots when I join a party. When it freezes, it is very disorienting and I don't get motion sick in VR. The battery drain sucks, even plugged in playing something simple like CATAN VR I am at 83% battery after 2 games. I used to get through 1 game of Walk About Mini Golf on my battery and have a bout 20% left with my Quest 2, now on my 3 I have to plug in by the 15th hole because I am at 5%. The lenses are blurry, I do wear glasses but have never needed to on my Quest 2. For my quest 3 things still seem a bit blurry. Overall I am very frustrated with Meta, when they pushed v59 it killed my Quest 2 and made gave it the no-passthrough black screen. They have offered no support and only offered a discounted refurb unit. My GF plays quest with me and got me a Quest 3 because she knew I wouldn't buy one when I felt wronged by Meta.

My children wanted this VR headset so I purchased it for them. I am now the primary user of this headset. I enjoy the workout that I get from playing many of the games. Sometimes I watch movies in the virtual theater and it is amazing. I do recommend this headset to anyone who is curious about VR.

Never had experienced VR its a game chabger for me lots of fun and entertainment good for family and friends to share.

I loved the quest 2 but find myself not using it much. so, I was not sure about buying the quest 3 specially for the price but, ended up buying it. At the beginning it had some software flaws but with updates it became a everyday use yes, its so confortable that I can use it everyday for piano learning and watching videos occasionally gaming! Overall an amazing vr headset!

I bought this for the family, and we all love it! It’s pretty easy to use and setup. Lots of cool apps, not just for gaming. The ease of casting allows us to stream what the player is seeing and all get in on the fun. I was on the fence about getting this, but now the only regret I have is I only bought one!

Second vr device owned (initially ps vr), but much superior. Comfortable fit with great graphics. Love it.

Headsets great. You let my 14 year old and wife buy accessory a for the cheaper version that doesn't fit though. They only bought two things and they didnt even match. Now its in my trunk and i have been forgeting to return it. Annoying is all.

Purchased this as a Christmas present and it was a huge hit. Major upgrade over the Quest 2 and the included game is amazing.

I was using the HP reverb G2. The meta 3 is really nice but I prefer the HP. Unfortunately the Hp is out the market and discontinued. Im trying to use with fs2020 but the clarity is not the same.

The game was everything it said it would be and more. My son loves it. He had the 1st version and said this one is a great upgraded

I bought this headset because I tried a friend’s 3S and enjoyed the experience, but wanted the extra visual quality of the 3. In my opinion, the better resolution, additional storage, and better ergonomics and weight distribution were worth the premium. However, don’t expect 4k like your TV but it is a bump in image quality over the 3S. Overall I found the 3 to be a better experience than the 3S if the extra $200 isn’t a concern. I primarily used it to workout on an app called Supernatural which was a great experience. Sorry I had to give that up when ultimately I had to give up on the Quest all together, it was fun. That’s where the fun stopped though. In the end, I gave up on this product because I purchased and had to return 5 units within a three month period due to malfunctions that I was unable to resolve through online research, trial and error, and Meta customer support (useless). I found instances online of people experiencing the exact same issue without any resolution, so this is not isolated. Ordinarily, I wouldn’t give any product more than three strikes, but I enjoyed the user experience when it worked as it was intended enough to keep trying (to a point). I had a couple of different issues, but it went like this: it would be fine for a few uses in a one to two week period, then randomly it would display a message onscreen that it had lost its ability to track in space with an option to continue without tracking or power off, but it also lost connection with the controllers so there was no way to interact. This left the only options being to either sleep or hard reset. Neither of which solved the issue. It would simply turn into Groundhog Day, the controllers were also inoperable and would vibrate every few seconds. At that point, restarting and/or doing a factory reset would solve nothing and ultimately end up bricking the headset. This happened with 5 headsets over a 10-12 week period purchased from two different Best Buy’s. I just lost faith in the quality control, the reliability of the product, and Meta’s willingness to address its shortcomings. Let me also say that this does not at all reflect on Best Buy. I couldn’t be happier with their service and policies. This was a trying process and everyone I dealt with at both the Concord and Portsmouth stores in New Hampshire made it as easy as possible aided by the policies they maintain for their customers and members.
