Customers are saying

Customers enjoy the product's strong overall performance, appreciating its beautiful graphics, good resolution, and comfortable, lightweight design, along with its excellent VR experience and mixed reality features. However, some customers note that the battery life could be improved, and a more comfortable head strap would enhance the experience, with other concerns including the passthrough quality, potential for motion sickness, and the price.

Not much has changed except being able to see the room better. Only a few new games that can be played on it. It’s definitely not worth the price because it’s not a lot different than the quest 2. And the controllers are super annoying if you’re an adult and have bigger hands, and i have smaller hands.

Make sure you have an excellent return policy and purchase the extended warranty. I am on my third Quest3. Multiple hardware and software issues. The charging port was causing it to power off, face plate overheating, freezing and glitching. Hard resets required multiple times. Colored pass through tears through the battery.

The Meta Quest 3 completely changed how I think about virtual reality—and honestly, it’s one of those rare pieces of tech that actually lives up to the hype. From the moment you put it on, the clarity is next-level. The visuals are crisp, vibrant, and incredibly immersive—no more “screen door” effect that older headsets struggled with. But what really sets it apart is the mixed reality. Being able to blend your real space with virtual elements feels futuristic in the best way. You’re not just playing a game—you’re inside it, interacting with it, moving through it. Performance-wise, it’s fast and seamless. Everything loads quickly, transitions are smooth, and the tracking is incredibly accurate. Whether you’re gaming, working out, or just exploring apps, it keeps up without lag or frustration. And the controllers feel intuitive, but even more impressive is the hand tracking—it’s surprisingly natural and makes the whole experience feel more immersive. Comfort is another big win. It’s lighter and more balanced than previous versions, which actually matters when you’re using it for longer sessions. No constant adjusting, no pressure points—it just works. What I didn’t expect? How versatile it is. This isn’t just a gaming device. It’s a fitness tool, a productivity space, a way to watch movies like you’re in your own private theater, and even a social experience. If you’ve been on the fence about VR, this is the headset that makes it worth it. It’s polished, powerful, and genuinely fun to use. The Meta Quest 3 doesn’t just improve on previous models—it finally delivers the kind of experience VR has been promising for years.

As a user for the past year of the Meta Quest 2, I was excited to upgrade to the Meta Quest 3 and check out all the new features! I have to say, as soon as I put the headset on, I could tell a difference. It was a lot more comfortable to wear, the way the headband works is confusing at first and it felt way to loose, but once you pull those two straps outwards towards your ears, the headset sat nice and snug on my head. The Quest 2 would almost pull my forehead back, making me have my eyes open wider than I wanted, but this Quest 3 is so much more comfortable. And it's not as heavy on your head either. It wasn't cumbersome at all. When you power it on - man - what a difference! The visuals are so crystal clear, so sharp! And one of the other things you notice is the full color passthrough to your environment. That in itself makes a massive different to your experience of wearing the headset. The menus are so sharp and crisp, they look phenomenal. Now one thing I noticed right away is that the menus are controlled slightly differently with the controllers to the previous Quest 2 which took a little getting used to, but you also have the ability to control the on screen actions with just your hands now, which is wild! You can point and touch and the headset tracks your hands and allows you to point and click and scroll with your hands! You can pinch and grab the menus, it's absolutely fantastic technology. The experience with the headset on really transforms you to another world, be it a virtual world where you are standing on top of a skyscraper, challenging your vertigo, or if you are fully immersed in the Batman Arkham Shadow world, you are really transported to that environment! With 512GB of onboard storage as well, not only can you download the game that's included in this version of the Meta Quest 3, but you have the option to store and download so many other titles from the vast array available. My previous Quest 2 only had 128GB of onboard storage, so this expands on that greatly. The color pass through really helps you have an truly interactive experience with your environment. You can play games that have monsters and zombies actually coming at you in your living room from a 'hole' in your living room wall. Something the Quest 2 couldn't do as the passthrough was very grainy and black and white. However, while the color passthrough on the Quest 3 is a giant leap forward, I still found that if my eyes were moving around a lot, the passthrough was still somewhat grainy or blurry, but if my eyes stopped and focused on one area, that it would look great. Talking of the opticals, they are a complete step above the previous generation. They are so comfortable to look through, the focus is easy with the buttons on the bottom of the headset, and you can adjust them totally to your liking. However, I did notice that you do NOT get a cover for the optics at all, unlike the previous generation that did come with a cover to protect them. There are plenty of aftermarket options for charging the headset, but you do get a charging cable and a power brick included to get you up and running. There is also the Meta Quest app, that you can use to communicate and stream to your TV which works really well, stay up to date on the latest games and experiences available to you as well, so you never miss out. Another experience that you may not have considered is the ability to watch a movie inside a movie theater, while sat on your couch. The experience is phenomenal, projecting an extremely large screen in front of you, with crystal clear visuals! The overall upgrade from the Meta Quest 2 to the Meta Quest 3 is totally worth it! The controllers have been redesigned, they are slightly smaller and don't have the hoop that goes over your hand making them more convenient to hold and control. The fact that the headset is lighter and more comfortable is great too. Battery life - you are more than likely going to want to get a battery extender. I played for a little over a hour straight right out of the box after charging it and it was at about 37% battery life left, so if you want to play for a couple of hours or more, then you will want a battery extender. Overall, extremely happy with this upgrade, it's nice to unwind at the end of the day and be transported to another world, be it full of mayhem in the Batman game, or in the tranquility of an art studio, creating a 3D sculpture in front of you!

Wants as expected and The Meta Quest 3 falls short of expectations. While it boasts improved hardware, the user experience feels underwhelming, with a limited library of compelling apps and games. The headset is bulky and uncomfortable for extended use, and the price feels unjustified. Overall, it fails to deliver an engaging VR experience.

I couldn’t be happier with the Meta Quest 3 (512GB)! The upgrade in clarity is immediately noticeable—everything looks incredibly sharp and vibrant, making games and apps feel more immersive than ever. The improved graphics performance really shines, especially in more demanding experiences where everything runs smoothly and looks stunning. One of my favorite features is the wireless freedom. Not being tethered to a PC or console makes it so easy to jump in and out of VR without any hassle. The mixed reality capabilities are also a huge bonus—they open up a whole new way to interact with your environment that feels futuristic but surprisingly intuitive. The extra storage is definitely worth it, especially if you plan on downloading a variety of games and apps. Setup was quick, the interface is user-friendly, and the overall comfort is great even during longer sessions. If you’re looking for a high-quality, standalone VR headset with impressive visuals and performance, this is absolutely worth it. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Meta Quest 3 is undoubtedly the best VR experience to date, even with a couple missteps that don’t hinder the overall experience. If you’re anything like me, you’ve had the sentiment of “are we there yet?” when wondering if VR was worth the time and investment. Well, I’m pleased to say it’s not just a gimmick anymore. This is the real deal. -Impressions/UX- The Quest 3 has the premium look and feel that oozes quality, from the sleek headband and frontal headpiece to the all-new Touch Plus controllers. After the initial setup these peripherals will feel like an extension of you in no time. One handy feature is the guardian boundary which automatically scans your room with its new depth sensor. This can be done manually too and allows a virtual fence to keep from colliding with physical items like furniture. Perhaps the best innovation is the color passthrough mode. Simply double tap the side of the headset at any time to switch between virtual and mixed reality modes which allow you to see your environment as normal. The clarity is equally as impressive with the 30% boost in resolution over the Quest 2. With the help of the incredibly stunning visuals, you’ll truly forget you were even sitting/standing in a room and instead transported to another world of wonder. Seriously, the dual LCD lenses capable of 4k resolution and a 110-degree field of view means visibility is superb. One key feature for me personally was the built-in extender for glasses wearers. This was a welcome change over the Quest 2, which required a separate spacer. A small gripe with the controllers is that they take standard batteries rather than rechargeable, however the headset itself is. Another challenge I faced was battery life. Therse’s an impressive amount of tech put into these VR systems, though roughly two and half hours is the most I’ve been able to get per use. This means I usually plan whether I’m going to game or browse and watch media during my session. It's not the end of the world, but I'd like to see an improvement, nonetheless. You can also opt to use the new hand tracking option and put down the controllers. I’ve seen mixed reception so far, but it is a neat and handy feature, especially for simply browsing menus or even light gaming like my favorite new puzzle game, cubism. -Gaming- Speaking of gaming, I was happy to get my virtual hands-on Batman Arkham Shadow and Meta Quest+ Free trial. As an avid Batman fan who completed all past Arkham games, this was right up my alley. As cliché as it may sound, yes, you really do feel like Batman. Everything from the level design to the audio and the excellent voice acting, this world is familiar yet welcomed with an entirely new perspective. After several hours with it, this deserves a spot among the best batman games to date. For a beginner like me, gaming on the Quest 3 took some getting used to but has quickly become some of the most fun I’ve had in a long time. With the addition on Meta Quest+, you can get access to a rotating library of games that increases monthly, and you can keep and play these anytime as long as you have an active subscription. As stated above, one of my new favorite games is cubism. It’s a cozy puzzle game that you can even play with just your hands. Arranging predetermined block pieces to create a shape. -Conclusion- The Meta Quest 3 marks the best time to jump into VR if you’ve been holding out. Now that I’ve got my VR fix, I can say it’s a worthy addition to my gaming routine. The software could use some iterating in due time, and it may not be for everyone, including those who fall victim to motion sickness. Otherwise, you’re in for a heck of a good time.

Honestly, it’s amazing. Truly next-level VR. I’ve been using the Meta Quest 3 for a few weeks now, and I have to say, this headset is a total game-changer. Meta really stepped up their game with this one, and it shows in every aspect. Design & Comfort: The first thing I noticed was how much lighter and slimmer it is compared to the Quest 2. It’s super comfortable, even for long sessions, and the adjustable straps make it easy to get the perfect fit. The padding feels soft but sturdy, like it’s built to last. Visuals: The visuals on this thing are insane. The clarity and colors are way better than I expected, and the higher resolution makes everything feel so much more immersive. Whether I’m gaming or just watching videos, the display is crisp and smooth with no lag. Performance: Performance-wise, it’s a beast. It’s fast, responsive, and handles any game I throw at it without breaking a sweat. The upgraded processor really makes a difference—you can feel how much more powerful it is compared to the Quest 2. Mixed Reality: The mixed reality feature is honestly one of my favorite parts. The color passthrough is clear and sharp, making it easy to interact with my surroundings while staying in VR. It’s not just a gimmick; it actually feels useful and fun. Game Library: The game library is solid, with tons of new titles and great backward compatibility with Quest 2 games. I love that I can still play my old favorites while exploring new ones optimized for the Quest 3. Final Thoughts: The Meta Quest 3 is everything I wanted in a VR headset and more. It’s sleek, powerful, and immersive. If you’re thinking about getting into VR or upgrading from an older headset, I’d 100% recommend it. Rating: 5/5. Totally worth it!
