    Usually, the sales people are pretty good at recommending the right thing. Not this time. Expectation: a plug and play accessory that would work well with Steam to play VR games. Reality: A stand-alone device that aggressively thrusts its own market in your face every time you start it up. It supposedly works with Steam, but they make it a serious pain. Pros: If you want a stand alone device with integrated App Store, this is for you. Cons: No instructions in box You have to download their app on your phone and on any computer you want to link to. You have to download additional apps to get it to work with Steam. Air link seems unreliable. The included cable is way too short for doing wired link with a computer. Massive issues with linking and when linked and playing VR games (the whole reason I bought this thing), it has frequent freezes, massive lag, and random disconnects. System requirements are met, but due to all the extra apps needed to even connect and play, there’s a lot of troubleshooting across multiple apps and devices to try to figure out what is going wrong or if it’s just a defective device. TLDR - If you want a stand alone device with integrated app store, this may be worth the $. If you want a device that’ll connect to your computer and play games you already paid for, prepare for a slog of downloading extra apps and endless troubleshooting when you follow the directions and it still doesn’t work.
