I wouldn’t say I was anticipating quite this level of awe, and I can without a doubt state that the Meta Quest 3S is an absolute winner when it comes to performance. The setup process is quite brief and effortless, and I found that it was not only lighter but more comfortable as well. The visuals are a huge upgrade in clarity and tone, and clearer passthrough for the mixed reality. Games are more immersive, and apps are faster. The controllers are super easy to use and quite responsive. The hand tracking? Shockingly good, quite honestly. But the thing that really closes the deal is the price. You’re paying a very reasonable price for top-tier standalone VR (no PC necessary), access to a massive library of games and experiences, and next-gen features that make this a true A/V powerhouse. Regardless of whether you're a novice to VR gaming or swapping up from an earlier design, I highly recommend the Quest 3S. It's enjoyable, well-refined, and arguably Meta's most well-rounded consumer-facing VR headset to date. Very satisfied with my purchase.

Bought 2, one for each of my boys for Xmas. They both absolutely love them. Lots of game choices for different ages as well. While the battery isn't great (no VR is), the block and cable are top notch and recharge in no time. Would def recommend if you're not looking to spend $500 on the top tier system.

I ordered the Meta Quest 3S online, clicked “Place Order,” and I swear I heard angels sing. Best Buy had it ready for pickup so fast I thought they were pranking me. I walked in, gave my name, and they handed me the box like I was adopting a rare, majestic creature. The Quest 3S itself? Unreal. I put it on and immediately forgot about the real world. The graphics are so crisp I tried to lean on a virtual table and nearly fell through it. I’ve battled robots, explored galaxies, and played mini‑golf in my hallway. My family now just walks around me like I’m a Roomba with emotional issues. And Best Buy’s pickup process? Flawless. Smooth. Efficient. I was in and out so fast I felt like I’d pulled off a heist — except completely legal and with a receipt. The staff was friendly, helpful, and didn’t judge me when I said, “Yes, I will be using this immediately.” If you’re thinking about getting the Quest 3S, stop thinking and just do it. Order online, pick it up in store, and prepare to become the happiest person swinging invisible swords in their living room.

I’ve been using this VR bundle for a few weeks now, and overall I’m really impressed with what you get for the price. The visuals are sharp and immersive — games and mixed-reality experiences look great, especially compared to older headsets. The standalone setup is super convenient and the included content (like Batman: Arkham Shadow in some bundles) adds a fun bonus right out of the box.  Pros: • Display quality and performance are top-notch for standalone VR.  • Comfortable enough for most play sessions.  • Mixed reality passthrough is cool and usable.  • Great storage and included game(s) add value.  Cons: Battery life isn’t the best — sessions can only last a couple hours without an external pack or accessory.  Also, the default head strap could be more comfortable for long play.  Overall it’s an excellent headset that’s easy to recommend, especially if you’re stepping into VR for the first time or upgrading from an older model. Would definitely give it 4 stars!

Despite this trade‑off, it offers smooth gameplay, full‑color passthrough for mixed reality, a comfortable design, and access to the full Quest content library—including bundled titles like Batman: Arkham Shadow or Gorilla Tag perks—making it one of the best-value choices for new VR users or families wanting modern VR capabilities at just $299.

I am new to VR and have wanted to always own a meta VR Headset since the Quest 2. I didn’t want to end up spending $500 + taxes(~$531) + Accessories (~$610) on this hobby to start with so the Quest 3S seemed like the best option out there. A lot of posts online say getting the 3S is not worth it but in my initial experience, it’s beautiful and absolutely worth it for someone who hasn’t had VR or has owned the Quest 2 and DOESN’T want to spend the extra $200-250. Pros: Color Passthrough - A game changer, very cool being able to place screens in my space and easily also have spatial awareness as well as do some other tasks on the side Better processor - Easily handles all tasks you throw at it Hand tracking - Almost flawless, very intuitive and easy to control the software using my hands. This is some iron man level stuff imo. Possibilities with updates are endless. Productivity: Remote Desktop is SO USEFUL. I use it to code. I can have 3 screens, pull them towards me or blow them up. Gaming - Games look and feel great overall! No doubt because of the screen reading small text is an issue if the monitors are “blown up” in size, but, you can always pull them towards you to magnify the text. It’s a workaround and I am all for it. Don’t want to pay the extra $200 for the better lenses on the Quest 3. Will probably do so for the Quest 4 because I do eventually want a better screen and lenses as they will elevate the overall experience. Cons: Old screen and lenses The “Sweet Spot” is hard to find at the beginning, but with a week’s usage you should be able to easily find it and adjust to it. Very difficult to use my phone/laptop screen in color passthrough due to clarity of the screen. This would’ve been great but not a dealbreaker. Eye fatigue- I increased my usage from 15 minutes in the first 2 days to over 2.5 hours on the 4th day, no problems. Eye fatigue definitely decreased. Dizziness- Some games make me feel dizzy or nauseous, but I guess I’ll just get used to it over time. Overall - I am happy with my purchase. It does what it’s supposed to do and does it well. I would 10/10 recommend this to anyone just getting into VR.

Really good graphics, fair battery life, well design GUI. Device does get pretty warm after 30 plus minutes. also very nice free game lineup as well for purchase.

I got this delivered to my home. i think bestbuy should get a different delivery service. i couldnt contact the driver at all or the company. but overall the metaquest 3s is fun . As a black person it wasnt really made for our kind. Its so many racist people on VR . I really feel like it should be more games and fun activities for the price also, having to buy a fan or different headband for the vr is absolutely insane. the batteries needed for the joysticks are a headache as well. the games get boring quick. and to play good games cost you $50

The Meta Quest 3S has been an incredible purchase and easily one of the best Christmas gifts we’ve ever given our son. He’s 12 years old, and he absolutely loves it. The setup was straightforward, and within minutes he was exploring virtual worlds and learning how everything works. The graphics and performance are impressive, especially for a standalone headset. Everything runs smoothly, the visuals are clear, and the controls feel natural and responsive. It’s easy for beginners to pick up, but still powerful enough to keep growing with as he gets older. The included game, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, was an amazing bonus. It really shows what the headset is capable of and adds a lot of value to the purchase. Watching him get excited about the experience and talk about the gameplay afterward has been great. What I appreciate most is how immersive and engaging the Quest 3S is. It’s not just a gaming device—it encourages movement, problem-solving, and creativity. Parental controls are also easy to manage, which gives peace of mind. II bought the Meta Quest 3S as a gift for my 15-year-old nephew and he absolutely loves it. It was easy to set up, the graphics are great, and being wireless makes it very convenient. It’s a fun and immersive experience, and a great gift choice.

Great product! The setup is a no brainer super user friendly, the only downfall is it does have you use you FB account and I do t like that since my kids play on it. I love the ease of using it and playing it, the games run smooth and graphics are fine. I do regret not getting the better version but overall it’s a great product for the price.

My daughter loves her VR, she is able to play some of her favorite games with her friends that have VR Headsets. Tge batteries in the controller wore out fairly quickly, but I still think it was a great buy.

I had the first version Oculus and this one is amazing! The cameras which allow you to see your surroundings (if you choose instead of full imersion) are awesome! I can have a snack/drink while I'm watching multiple screens, configured to my liking (size/placement/background). I'm a big Walking Dead fan but not a gamer. That being said, the game is GREAT! I've even played it in the yard at night (you can map a safe area so you don't run into things) and it feels SO realistic that I had the chills and hair standing up on the back of my neck at times. I also like to be able to lay on the couch and watch my YouTube videos, browse FB and other sites. These are way more comfortable than previous versions and lighter. Very easy to setup and intuitive to use. I feel like I've only begun to explore the capabilities. Get them, you won't be disappointed. Just having a floating giant screen is worth the price alone, even if you use them for nothing else (but you will!).

okay, so I'm not a gamer, but I definitely appreciate how cool this technology is. I'm a wannabe mural artist that has seen this tool specifically on lots of YouTube videos. I was debating between the 3S and the 3 to get into this, and was really leaning to the 3 for the higher resolution, but I'll tell you if you're just starting out, get this! I bought it when it was $250 on sale around the holidays, and I think it's a really great value for what it is, considering I'm not doing any gaming and just want to use this for art and blowing up things for mini murals. This was a fantastic introduction. I do find the resolution a tiny bit on the low side, but it really doesn't make that much of a difference as long as your artwork is high resolution. Definitely recommend getting. I will still keep even if I upgrade.

The app library is growing fast too, so there’s always something new to try. Overall, the Quest 3 delivers a great mix of performance, comfort, and features. I was hesitant to buy a VR headset because im not a gamer but it was still worth it. I bought it mainly for streaming movies and sports. The image quality is amazing(1080p) and you can size the screen to as big as you want. They also have theater mode which allows you to curve the screen. You can have multiple app or browser windows running at once which is pretty cool. I use the MLB, YouTube and Amazon Prime apps. For everything else i log in via their web browser. The only downsides for me is the older lens which sometimes appear cloudy and show rings and thr battery life.
