Customers are saying

Customers regard the Quest Link Cable favorably for its generous cable length, reliable connectivity, fast data transfer speeds, and ability to charge the device during gameplay. However, the high price point is a significant concern for many. Some customers have also reported issues with the cable's durability and the device's limited battery life while using the cable.

    • Brand response from Oculus Support
      Posted .

Hi there! We're sorry to hear this happened, and we'd be happy to provide some troubleshooting steps for you. When your headset is turned on and the Oculus PC app is open on your computer, make sure the USB 3 cable is plugged into a USB 3.0 port and then plug the other end into the headset. A message should pop up in your headset prompting you to "Allow access to data". Click "Deny". You should then be prompted to "Enable Oculus Link". Select "Enable" to begin remote rendering using the Link cable. If these steps don’t resolve the issue, please contact our Support team directly from the official Meta Store Support website and they’ll be happy to help you further. oculus

    Works as Intended (Sim Racer)

Works great... I have the quest 3 and I have tried one other link cable that supposedly charges while playing which it did not do. So I decided to try this one. It charges while playing but you still use more battery than what the charge can keep up with. I use this mainly for sim racing and I haven't had any issues even with long sessions (i.e. endurance racing). Even when my 2-3 hour stint is up it still has plenty of charge to keep going. I do feel it recharges faster with the oculus cable than with the first off brand cable I tried. Overall happy with it as it was what I expected.

Didnt have any complaints while using pcvr but it is very overpriced. Its not even braided plus it has low durability as it can bend/break from a tug. Recently broke mines and it hasnt even been a year. Wouldnt spend that much money a link cable since there arenso much better alternatives.

    Steam & Meta quest link

Works flawlessly. If youre having trouble using "Air link" when synching steam to your meta quest get this cord. Its a direct connection usb that acts as a ethernet cable for your quest.

    Worst Buy

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

first of all, it’s already overpriced. But I just wanted to make sure I had the official cable just to check. The warping is atrocious, the speed is terrible. Virtual desktop works way better. Their software is terrible. Everything about Meta Quest, PC,VR gaming is terrible other than using virtual desktop do not buy this y’all it’s a waste of money. oh, and it also just does not charge my headset at all. It even just stopped working saying that there was water or dust. When there was nothing there. Terrible product. Best Buy should have some more respect for themselves and stop selling this.

Don't buy this cable...buy the Anker instead

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Get the Anker brand (for $17.99!!!) and don't waste your money on the Meta cable. I bought a Quest 2 and figured I'd go with the Meta brand Link cable to have the best experience...wrong. Almost a week of going back and forth with Oculus support, installing/reinstalling drivers, enabling/disabling various programs, and nothing would get my PC to recognize the Quest 2. I returned the Meta brand cable. When I bought the Anker off Amazon and plugged it in, my PC recognized it immediately, and I was using the Link function in no time.
