Very glitchy will return may be defected not sure why it’s doing it

I will be the counterpoint to most of the other reviews but initially I want to say this...we are witnessing the birth of a new medium and the Quest Pro gets it mostly correct. Perhaps it should have been named the Quest + Is it worth 3-4 times the cost of a Quest 2? If you wanting to simply play games and have it sit next to your Nintendo Switch, then no. It is not. Wait for the Quest 3 (3rd quarter of 2023?) which will more than likely be priced around the $400 range. To answer most people's questions, the Quest Pro does not offer 3-4 times the improvement over the Quest 2. But I will say this, it offers perhaps 30%-35% of an improvement. And those small, quality of life improvements really make it worth it...to me. And perhaps to those that were put off with the shortcomings of the Quest 2. That extra percentage really take it to the next level from the optics, to the form factor, better tracking, color passthrough, face and eye tracking, and how much smoother the entire UI and experience is using the XR2+ processor. I'd imagine having more RAM also helps because things are fluid and there is not much waiting around for things to load like the Quest 2. The controllers are also a hefty upgrade with their own cameras and processor, the experience is simply more precise. However due to the hand tracking being robustly better, I use hand tracking more often (for productivity) than the controllers. I actually really enjoy the charging dock. Initially it was a bit clumsy but after a week I don't even think about it. it just works. The build quality is exceptional. I can not express how much better and cleaner this feels. It is not perfect and at times I struggle to find the perfect fit, but if you are comparing it to the Quest 2, I feel this is leagues better. The secret is not to simply compress the headset into your forehead but to tighten it and simply let the forehead pad rest on top of you forehead. This relieves a lot of stress. I think people attempt to tighten it similar to the Quest 2 and this is the incorrect approach. To wrap it up. I find myself using this FAR more than I ever did my Quest 2. I'm excited to put it on. The attention to detail and overall build quality is what I've been waiting for. Yes the passthrough isn't what we hoped for, but with the opening near the bottom it really fills the gap and your brain doesnt pay much attention to the video quality of the passthrough since your focus is on the screens in your FOV. Yes, it could be lighter, but we're getting there. Meta has expressed this is at minimum a 10 year plan to get us where we need to be. Baby steps. The VR/AR/MR quality the Pro offers is actually a steal at this price when compared to Hololens or other such devices. Unfortunately we were spoiled at the $300 price range but the tech it is probably more aligned at the $1k price range for something like the Pro. If you plan to work and play in AR/VR, if you enjoy PCVR, if you have expendable cash, if you enjoy being at the cutting edge and do not have a problem with being an early adopter and all the baggage that comes with it...there are very few devices out there that provide an otherworldly experience quite like this. I say go for it. And perhaps I'll see you in VRChat or Immersed VR soon!

Thing is comfier than a base quest 2 but it doesn’t have a top headstrap so isnt as good. Meta software is best currenty and this headset will hold you over until the vision pro if you can afford both

I have read some of the negative reviews about gaming, and even though I did not buy this at Best Buy, I felt compelled to write a review. Most of my games are PCVR games and I do it wirelessly from the PC and it is incredible. I have played thru Half-Life Alyx a couple of times on the Oculus 2 and there's no comparison to the processing power of the pro to bump these games to a new level. If all you're wanting to do is play simple VR games, then stick with the Oculus 2 but if you need real processing power, go for this. Incredible difference. Cannot wait for Half-Life 3 VR!

If you’re looking for a state of the art headset, this is it. You might be a little underwhelmed of the state, however, unless you have or get a PC capable of PCVR. For standalone gaming, it’s good, but it’s not 2-3x better than Quest 2 (I own both). But with PCVR, with higher resolution and better textures than native Quest games, it’s nice to see them with the utmost clarity of the Quest Pro. It’s hard to recommend this headset, however, unless you have “money to blow”.

I have loved this vr but at the price. Its not for everyone. But works absolutely amazing!

A huge upgrade from the Quest 2. As more firmware and softwate updates come out, this headset will just keep getting better too. Absolutely love my Meta Quest Pro!

I won a Quest Pro recently. I was super excited to give VR a try for the first time. Honestly, it's been very underwhelming. Some of the underwater stuff, swimming with sharks is cool. I find a lot of the content kind of blurry, even adjusting the headset up or down or adjusting the little eye pieces more narrow or wider. If I'd actually paid for this, I would for sure have returned it. Maybe VR will be better in another 5-10 years, but for now it's just meh.

I like how they have a lot of tech product and a lot of open box stuff which is good because some people dont have that much money or the want to dave for like a game

Overall awesome product however, I would love for the pass through feature to be more clear. Big improvement from the black and white pass through in previous model!

It is so good the controls feel great and the experience is amazing! If you have the quest two you can use the light blockers that come with that for the quest pro

This is definitely good if you wanna use it for facial tracking. It’s a lot of fun!

Still test driving the quest pro. The optics are amazingly clear. Odd how Quest 2 has a higher Mhz

My husband loves it! I got it for him for Christmas and he is hooked as are the kiddos.

A big step up from the previous model. Great sound and graphic quality. Better fit and comfortably without extra accessories to purchase. However, overpriced and not affordable. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone to splurge on. It just isn’t worth the investment. I’ll wait for the PSVR2.
