there are sooooo many cut scenes it should be metalgear the movie I buy a game to play not watch a dang movie. I would bet 3/4 of this is cut scenes. Don't waste your money. And the online is horrid

I rented this game and played it for about four hours and hated everything about it. I especially didnt like the online play. The graphics are good, movements are cool, but just wasnt fun for me. Maybe i didnt give it a chance.

1st off, Ive not a MGS nut, but everyone just kept talking and talking and talking about how i have to get this game cuz its soooo good....so i finally gave in. the game; first off you have to sit and watch old snake or whatver his name is smoke a cigarette for about 15 inutes while you wait for the game to install. Then you get to play....you move 5 feet and get a 5 minute cutscene....then you finally get to play the game....you move 5 feet and get a 5 minute cutscene....so then you finally get to play you move about 50 feet and get a 10 minute cutscene.....so then you FINALLY get to play and you move about 100 ft and get a 5 minute cutscene....and so on and so forth

creators wasted too much time with cinematics an became a movie rather than a playable game

This game is so OVER Hyped. I was very excited to play this game, got home put in the disc then... oh had to wait 10 minutes for it to install. Great. Then when the game finally starts, I get stupid CGI cut scenes for like 15 minutes mixed in with a little bit of running around but no shooting. Then the stupid story begins... I couldn't take it anymore. I feel like someone just robbed 45 minutes of my life away that I will never get back! This is easily one of the worst games I've ever had the misfortune of trying, and I have easily over 300 video games in my library.

i work in a video game store and had a chance to play this less than stellar title. the ai is really bad, the controls are sloppy. snake feels like he's floating....just bad, bad, bad. i suggest waiting for gears of war 2 in novmeber. the xbox 360 is better in every aspect vs the playstation 3. there STILL hasn't been a better graphical game for the ps3 despite the "almighty cel". the people that were waiting to buy a ps3 for this game are going to be highly disappointed. bottom line, skip this one, maybe little big planet will do it for the ps3.

I got this game with the new bundle package they have and was very disappointed. I had never played a Metal Gear before and after playing this game I am sure I haven't been missing anything. This game play is so slow paced and has tons of cutscenes making it impossible to ever get into the game. Also the guy moves to slow making online play horrible.

this game is so boring. do not buy it. its a horrible game and takes about and hour to install the game on the ps3 and then to play online you have to wait at least 3 hours to download the multiplayer update. that was with my internet that goes up to 3 megabytes per secound.
