Overall it is a great game. However, the cut scenes were so long. I was able to make myself a quick meal during one of the scenes. I felt like I watched just as much as I played. I wanted more playing time. The large weapon selection is great. Controls are ok. I still think Call of Duty 4 is a way better game.

it take you back to the old MG and that was fun about it.. and old sanke never dies but there will be a new MG comeing out soon and i went to play it this game took me about 28 hours to play and got it over with.

THIS GAME IS BREATHTAKING FROMTHE MOMENT U START PLAYING IT U GET SO INVOLVED IN THE STORY AND WHAT IT IS U HAVE TO DO NEXT. THIS PUSHES THE PS3 GRAPHICS TO THE LIMIT AND IS A MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE. GET THIS GAME!

this game is a must buy, and a must play u wont be disapointed. but i would recomend beating all of the mgs games to realy get the entire jist of everything.

This game is probably the best game of the year. Especially the graphics and Metal Gear Online. Its almost like Call of Duty 4 just slightly better

solid game if u like mgs then you gotta play this one. i love customizing the weapons and figuring out the best way to get through the missions. graphics are good. the down side is there is alot of story and cut scenes.

You can spend a great amount of time going through the difficulty levels and not get bored by it. You will need to play some of the older MGS games in order to understand the whole story. IF you have, the flashback abililty by pressing X during some Cutscenes really brings back the memories from the past MGS games. At times the game can be very difficult to pass a specific part of the mission. Don't give up! It's a fun game and if you can get game in the hardest mode, i am sure you will do well in the Online mode as well.

This was my first MGS game and it is AWESOME. The main thing with this game that I have noticed is the story mode keeps you interested in what's going on, between all of the cinematics and gameplay this game keeps your interest all the way through. The only real big problem is every time you complete an act you have to wait for it to install the next part, and then after that it does it over, and so on and so forth, but that is the only real problem that I have experienced so far. This game is definately worth the buy.

It was clear to tell that a lot of time was put into the development of this game and it paid off with great reward to the gamer. I felt like I was playing a movie and was completely drawn into the story from start to finish. The game is so responsive and there are small ways the sixaxis capabilites were integrated into this game. I don't want to be a game spoiler, but I will say that this is really one of the best games I've every played and I wish I could give it a 7 on the BestBuy scale of 5.

This game is insane. I cannot stop playing it. The graphics are amazing and the game is in your face. Its like playing a movie!

If you haven't played this game, get off your but. This is a great game with an incredible story behind it. PLAY THIS GAME

best game will always be my most favorite game i love it i was hooked up emotionally with this game since metal gear solid 1 i cant believe there will be no more i almost cried i love this game, cant find words to describe it, i am greatful there was someone somewhere in the world who decided to create this game every little thing about this game is so unique. i cant get enough of it every time i finish it i play it all over again and never get boared.love it love it love it

this is a great game graphics are simply amazing... in the beginning its a little long on the cinimatics but that eventually dies down.. over all a great game what lived up to the hype

I haven't been a big console gamer in several years. I've tried to keep to PC games. With the new next gen consoles and blu ray the PS3 was a no brainer for me. MGS4 is simply breathtaking. The story really grabs you the graphics are smooth and lifelike in 1080p on my 42" plasma. So much fun to play and I haven't even touched the online part yet. If you have a PS3 this should be a no brainer...if you don't...then MGS4 is a helluva good reason to pick on up soon ;)

The gameplay was awesome with a few new characters added in this game. It looks perfect on a HDTV. If this is the final game, it went out on a perfect game.

this has to be the best game ever created, i had follow the series since metal gear solid 1 on the ps1 and for it to come out on the PS3 its just going to be mind blowing, this game HAS to win-Game of the century.. the only bad thing is that it looks like its going to be the last game from metal gear, but im soooo glad its only for the PS3. im a huge fan of call of duty 4 online, but i know metal gear will destroy call of duty. if you want the ultimate experience in the battle field you need to get this game, come on its metal gear solid for the PS3, that alone says it all

i played this game non-stop for 4 hours when i first bought it. what i love is the cut scenes(mostly). the voice acting or voice over is great also, but some character needed more work. the octo camo system is also a very very awesome system for any game designer to think of. what i didnt like was, snake camo his entire body, but not his head(early game). people walk around nearby him and doesn't notice the big white fluffy spot! his cqc(melee attacks) is very not so cool acting and sometimes glitchy. like the previous, snake carry a gun and a knife, but doesnt dual attack with them.this review is base on my experience, i loved the game but also didnt like it. played it twice in normal and hard and haven't touch it for 2 months.

By far one of Playstation 3's best games. The re-playability of this game is great because of all the different bonuses and rewards you can get. If you are a MGS fan then this game will blow you away. It's a perfect game if you want to just sneak around or if you want to rip people apart with big guns. The game is pretty long which is nice and can get pretty difficult on harder game settings. The cut scenes are very cool, however, the mission briefings can be a little long and boring at times. Buy this as soon as you can!

I think this game is one of the best thrid person shooting game for the War, because the graphic and the story got a long time.

By far best game I own and I have alot of PS3 games. This is a must have for everyone.
