There is something in the adhesive that is used in as beat I can tell that causes a foul odor to persistently emanate from the port on this box.

Look for something else that SPECIFICALLY says 3/4 or 1". This thing is 1/2" material and with the slightest bass from a low wattage speaker, RATTLES. It's not even worth $10. Seriously.
