Universal license plate mount Backup Cam
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This camera is not meant for you if your vehicle does not have a centered license plate, such as certain models of Jeep vehicles and Hummers (to name a few). The Metra BBBPC is a small bullet shaped camera attached to a mounting track used to slide behind stationary mounted license plates to provide a clear bumper-level (or similar) view while in reverse. It requires a 12v connection to power on (Ram owners beware if doing own installation), and is advised to be connected directly to your reverse light. It uses an RCA plug to interface with aftermarket screens and video screen radios equippes with RCA Video Inputs. This product is not directly intended to be used in conjunction with factory navigation, or video screen radios. Most, if not all, factory OEM video screen radios are NOT equipped with the necessary input connections, and require additional information and labor to determine if they can be connected to factory systems. This is a true 170° viewing angle camera, and utilizes a fisheye lense to accomplish this. Your local Best Buy with an Autotech can assist you with installation pricing, and scheduling at your convenience. This is, as a professional installer myself, the mostly highly recommended backup camera we currently carry as of the time of this review. It touts the greatest viewing angle at one of the lowest prices, is extremely easy to work with, and has an excellent picture. 10/10, I always suggest this one to my clients.
