A: This camera is made of durable ABS material, which resists water damage.
Q: What is the red wire attached to the video RCA for?
A: I have an aftermarket radio with the reverse gear wire (purple/white stripe). I also have the short red wire. I tried connecting the short red wire to the harness and it works. However, the red wire that runs all the way back to the camera, keep the reverse lights on. Imagine that. Just as a test, I connected it to the rear lights. They came on. I unhooked the red wire and the lights came off. However, I am stuck. I have no idea what is going on. Anyone with a good answer??? Thank you.

Q: will bestbuy people help me to put and set it on my car?
A: Yes - they did a good job.

If you have or are considering buying a CarPlay device to upgrade your radio/GPS capabilities, I strongly recommend you consider this extra option of a back up camera for your vehicle! I was not totally sold on the need for this device, but was given pros and cons by my Best Buy tech, and decided to complete my CarPlay Package with this camera. It automatically shifts your cars display when you put your vehicle in reverse and it is truly an amazing display. It has been helpful in my judging available back up distances I can go in reverse safely, but also gives accurate spacing when determining width in back up spaces! I put this together with my Kenwood DMX 7709S and it works terrific with my complete car upgrade that I have recently done. If you have an older vehicle(like my 2009 Honda) I recommend you consider adding this to your installation package, which Best Buy does a super job doing when you order the CarPlay installation service! Best Buy overall did a and outstanding job wiring the back up camera in addition to my CarPlay system, and I am very pleased with my cars upgrade!
