Great openish world game but still with that metro feel.

1st Metro tittle I have played and got to say great game!

The first encounter I had with a mutant bat in this game was great. All of a sudden I was flying through the air because it swooped down from behind. Fighting the monsters is probably the most fun. Only frustrating part was that sneaking around is an option and it feels a little too sloppy because people get alerted easily even when using silencers and throwing knives.

When I picked this up, I had just finished another fantastic game (Zelda BOTW on Switch) and was waiting for the release of COD Modern Warfare/Death Stranding/Luigi's Mansion. I wanted a relatively shorter game that I could play to fill the time until all these other new releases. I wasn't expecting much. It was decent but overall I got a little bored. The controlling mechanics felt a little off/slow. And I understand that it's in a post apocalyptic world, but each time you had to put on the gas mask during radiation areas just limited the scope of view to the point of annoyance. I wanted to like this game, but that didn't translate. I will say I had been playing some top tier games lately so my "recency bias" may have played a factor. If you are already a fan of the series you will like it, but newcomers may be frustrated by gameplay mechanics.

Love playing this game! One of my favorites this year!

I really like this game. The weapons customization is fun and more extensive than some other recent games I have played. It is a linear style gameplay but I knew going in it wasn’t open world in the traditional sense. I definitely liked it. I wish it was a little longer. But not the end of the world the way it is.

Such a great and fun first person shooter with great themes.

If your into running from monsters this is the game for you.
