Bought the game for my you get sibling and loved it

Best metroid game in the past 15 years. LOL. Definitely a must buy. A bit harder than other Metroids

A lot better then I first thought it would be. I'm not a major metroid fan but after playing this game the series is really starting to grow on me. While it's a 2D game rather then 3D it's still a ton of fun as you play throughout the levels. While some may not care for the backtracking you will have to do from time to time overall it's a game that's actually worth checking out.

This is definitely not a game you will dread! If you have been missing the "Metroid"s of yesteryear then this is it. It took a long time getting here but it doesn't miss out. Great game and good looking also. Many surprises thru out....the only bad thing or maybe it's a good thing.....it's not a super long game. Either way it's fun and nostalgic in all the right ways. Pick it up and play. Many of you will keep on playing!

Challenging yet extremely fun game that nicely wraps up the story to the original Metroid saga.

Outstanding visuals, precise platforming, extensive exploration, and tough but fair bosses.

This game's movement is incredible, the gameplay is addicting, and the story is jaw dropping.

Metroid needed some new blood in the form of a title set AFTER Metroid Fusion, and we finally get it. No offense to the Prime series, but personally I wnated to see the franchise explore the series after the end of Fusion. And Dread delivers. A new world to explore, new enemies to outsmart and defeat, a new look (once more) for Samus. Beautifully displayed, I look forward to uncoveirng all the secrets in the game.

Overall great Metroid game. There are some cons such as short story and could have done without the E.M.M.I enemies. There are many pros also such as great graphics, tight controls and varied sections with different atmospheres.

Its classic metroid 2.5D side scrolling. The viduals are downright amazing especially on the oled switch model. It reminds me a little of resident evil 2 with evil robots chasing you through coridors. Dread is challeging but not to the point wear its not enjoyable. If your a switch owner do yourself a favor and play this game.

Super fluid controls, and immersive gameplay will have you hooked from start to finish.

Solid entry in the series. Great visuals and challenging map to explore. EMMI zones can be a bit unforgiving and redundant but an interesting new dynamic that gives off even more “Alien” vibes to Metroid. Highly Recommended !

Challenging but lots of fun! Great graphics on the oled version of switch

I've always loved the Metroid series and was hyped for Samus' returns. ;) Metroid Dread is filled with tense atmosphere, tight gameplay, and great graphics. I bought a Switch OLED model the same day and the new screen makes the stunning visuals pop that much further. This is another entry in a stellar series and I can't wait for other players to experience it, if they haven't already. 10/10

Solid game. Really enjoyed the EMI parts and the boss fights were fun. Kinda short, but if you aren't concerned about the price for what you get, highly recommend for fans of the Metroidvania genre.

Best Metroid Game ever 19 years I have waited for this to come out and what I see in game just floored me to see so much love has been put into this game. If you never played Metroid or you have played previously Metroid titles you will not be disappointed in this 2D Metroid game. Highly recommend 5 plus stars.

The "metroidvania" genre has become a very popular genre in the last several years but please keep in mind, this is not what modern metroidvania has become... it is Metroid 5. Metroid Dread leaves all the "vania" out and it is the best Metroid game it could be for it. The visuals and sound design are phenomenal for the Switch hardware and the game plays like a dream.
