This game is great. I'm currently about 30% through it and can't put it down Very suspenseful, and the way you can easily traverse your environment with Samus makes this a stand out adventure. Can't recommend this enough if you are a fan of games like Castlevania, Ori and hollow knight. Great to see Samus back.

Overall I think its a solid game. I like the exploration but I feel like most of the EMMI encounters are not needed and they really drag down the game.

Metroid Dread is a fantastic return to form for the Metroid series! It's so much better than Other M which didn't really feel like Metroid to me. Also, as much as it feels like a classic style Metroid game, there is a cool twist, which is the inclusion of occasional horror elements where you have no choice but to flee. Really this is just an overall excellent game in all respects.

First time playing a meteoroid game, and i loved it. Great level design and bosses. The dread is real.

As a long time Metroid fan (NES days) I had my reservations prior to playing this title but I was drawn in. The pace is fast and frantic at times but the game is fair in that nothing feels like it's the games fault. My only issue with the game is the the music to me wasn't as memorable as Super or Prime but it does contain some remixed tracks from previous Metroid titles.

A tried-and-true Metroid experience now with fast-paced and cool combat mechanics added. Tough boss battles and the quick reactions needed to parry attacks make this game more action oriented than any other game in the series. The tight controls make for a very satisfying experience. Filled with tense, exciting, and even some creepy moments, this game is sure to entertain.

I have yet to finish this game, but it is intense, kinda scary, and brilliant.

After waiting almost two decades for a proper follow-up to one of my all-time favorite video game franchises, I absolutely had to have this title on day one, and it did not disappoint! Outstanding gameplay, extremely varied and immersive environments, engaging storytelling, and challenging but rewarding mechanics make this game a must have for any gamer's collection.

Metroid Dread is an amazing 2D exploration / adventure game that brings Samus back to her side-scrolling roots. The gameplay is smooth, fresh, and solid. The graphics are gorgeous with the unique and varied landscapes. The story ties up the 2D Metroid saga from all the way back to the NES and it's great to see the series get the attention it deserves.

Best 2D Metroid game yet, I'll tell you why. First Metroid game in a long time with great story telling for one, not seen since the rather unpopular Metroid Other M. Thanks to the hardware, Nintendo was able to make all the creative ideas reality. Control wise, game play is incredibly smooth, precise. You gain abilities never yet seen in the franchise.

Metroid Dread is an exceptional addition to the game universe. It builds on the lore from previous Metroid games and this is probably the smoothest I’ve ever been able to control Samus. The bosses are unique and offer fight styles that are equally so. Exploring is an exciting aspect of the game and E.M.M.I.s really add a huge adrenaline rush. It’s worth it!

Fantastic game, great story, superb visuals, and gripping gameplay!

Amazing game, fun engaging and lots of secrets to find.

Might be a side scroller but they put more effort into this than a lot of other AAA games. Shows off what the OLED Switch can do, and looks alright on OLED TVs but the Switch being a 1080p console is starting to show on these 4k OLEDs. If you have a 5.1 or larger sound system, this is one of the few Switch games that actually uses those surrounds.

My son loves this game. It was purchased for Christmas and was the top thing on his list.
