I haven't been able to put this game down. The controls are smooth and the gameplay is awesome. The bosses are tough, but not unbeatable. Nintendo did a great job with this game if you like the side-scrolling Metroid series.

A remarkable game that builds upon the iconic style of Super Metroid. I took my time with my first run and finished at 12 hours, but you'll find yourself replaying the game to see how quickly you progress through the game.

If you have a Switch and like fast-paced, high-energy games that don't disappoint, then this is the game for you. Added bonus if you are over the age of 30 and played any of the previous Metroid games (like me!)

Far exceeds my expectations. This is the modern version of the classic 2D metroid gameplay you remember. You can take your time or fast paced as you want. This game is tailored made for both playing styles. Highly recommended.

I enjoyed this game, it’s challenging but lots of fun. I wouldn’t recommend it for small children, the difficulty level is hard. It’s similar to the previous 2D Metroid games so if you’ve played those games you’ll like Dread.

Beautiful masterpiece of a game. A modern mix between Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion. I can’t say a bad thing about this game except I hope there are more in the future!!!

Outstanding game, and a great return to 2D Metroid....gameplay is fantastic, as are the graphics and animation. Easy to get into, but this game is no pushover....there's definitely a challenge here! Very easy to recommend.

Great game, a lot of nostalgia came right back as soon as I started playing it. If you like 2d metroid games, this is a must play. I still feel like super metroid is still my favorite but this game its actually pretty good.

Great game and good return to form for Metroid. The atmosphere and puzzle solving are solid. Didn’t love the EMMI segments though. Overall, a good purchase for those into Metroidvania games.

Amazing game. A wonderful evolution of the Metroid franchise. While it doesn’t change up the core formula too much, it adds some great experiences to make the time more than worthwhile. A great game to play over and over.

So far so good, if youre a metroid fan this games for you, and even if youre new to the franchise this will be one to get. Can be challenging, almost like a dark souls game in some aspect. But im up for the fun challenge

Great game. Was surprised that this is apparently the first Metroid to sell really well. I’ve always adored the series and this is nearly the best of the 2D versions. The EMMI sections got old. But overall amazing game

Next to breath of the wild, this game is too perfect, even if you are new to the franchise this game is not too crazy with lore where you feel like a fish out of water. The gameplay is out of this world.

Very fun and challenging game for the Nintendo Switch. Metroid is back!

This is a Christmas gift, but I remember this classic with the original NES and loved it. I am sure my son will love playing this game on his switch. I am looking forward to reliving my childhood playing it as well.

Classic Metroid fun. Been a long time fan of the franchise. This is a return to the classics. While the Prime games were great, it was nice to play a game that had more of the look and feel of the older games.

I love Metroid games and was super excited for a new one definitely a platformer as I grew up playing Fusion and Zero Mission on GBA. This isn't Prime 4 that I've been waiting forever for but its pretty good so far!

For someone who hasn't beaten or really played a 2D Metroid game, this may change my mind to go back and play the older ones. This game is so much fun, perfect difficulty, and just very impressive. It's so much fun!
