Very fun and a new twist to an everlasting classic

Great game, brings back memories of super Metroid.

Very fun game. Quite modernized, but still true to the classic. It gets pretty frustrating at times as it can be quite challenging, but that's part of the fun.

I bought this game because I wanted something no too complicated that I could play when I had a few hours to do so. It's my first Metroid game. It's pretty easy and the EMI encounters become less scary as you die over and over again. I've read EMIs are the deal breaker for some, however for me the most frustrating part of the game is not knowing where to go next. I've been going around in circles and haven't found a YouTube video to get me out of that loop. So I've given up, maybe I'll pick it up some time after a break of this frustration.

Great, great game. 2D Metroid is back and the team did an amazing job with this one. Bosses are tough and the new mechanics add enough to keep things fresh.

While the run time is a little bit on the short side, it’s a solid game and a great reminder that a 2-D side scroller can still be amazing!

It has all the nostalgia of the previous 2D entries. Overall a really fun game. The only drawback is that it is really short but that was expected.

I love this and the new Switch! It says I purchased it on the 8th but that was only the date I bought it. It came two days later which is still quite fast. This is the fifth installment of the Metroid main series in case you are curious. The 4th one came out about 20 years ago.

Good game held back by weak hardware. Tight controls and good pacing. Not as good as super metroid but a welcome return to 2d on a home console.

Very fun game. Samus controls really smooth, too bad the picture doesn't look very good when played on TV. looks great on the switch screen tho.

Good graphics good music but it is a difficult game to play when you getting chased by that alien continuously throughout the level isn't Fun

Metroid dread is great game from start to finish. I will still admit that this game can be easily lost and the game difficulty is dread. But it didn’t stop me from playing it. Also there is rookie mode where there no excuse for anyone think is hard.

One of the best games of the year. If you are a fan of Metroid this game is one of the best. Gameplay is great and the graphics are good.

Although it has some issues, I really enjoy the game and the story, but free aim should be fixed on joy cons. That is my only real complaint.

Nostalgic, beautiful game. Quick to complete as it takes about 70 hours of game play depending on how fast you are.

The game is great. But bestbuy shipped it late and didn't send the promotional stickers even when i make the pre-order in July 11 2021. And the first time i ask about it they told me it would arrive that day. And the third time they told me they haven't shipped yet.

This game was a gift, but I find it interesting that this series began practically 3 decades ago, and there have been only a few new editions since, yet it's fans are still excited for the new release. It's like if your favorite band from the 90's hadn't had a new album in 30 years and all the sudden released one this year. There's a good chance it'll suck, but you have to have it, because it's the Stones, for God's sake! Actually they haven't released a decent album since '78, but you see my point...

As someone who binged through the mainline Metroid games before this game was released and experienced this franchise for the first time, it was quite the experience. Note, new players should play in the following order: 1. Metroid Zero Mission (Gameboy Advance) 2. Metroid Samus Returns (3DS) 3. Super Metroid (Super Nintendo) 4. Metroid Fusion (Gameboy Advance) 5. Metroid Dread (The Game we are talking about) And if the other spin-offs interest you, some are also pretty good recommendations.

Super fun but repetitive. The aiming on a switch lite is pretty difficult but the visuals are great. The bosses are a lot of fun
