This game is horrible... Zero controls and I mean zero.. You basically button smash all the way through the game. You could have perfect aim and still not hit a single enemy in this game. Nintendo should be ashamed they let this game release in this state.

Bestbut did not have the decals ready for pickup at the time I picked up my game so i missed my chance

I can’t believe Best Buy allows people to buy 10 or more Nintendo oled switch’s when they know how limited they are and they end up on eBay for hundreds of more then actually cost I had myself pre registered the minute you could register and I couldn’t get a switch

Bboorrriiinnggg..... i mean im a big nintendo person.... love the old school feel of this metroid.... played them all..... this 1 just not my cup of tea..... its just so boring and repetitive.... over hyped

Missing basic features like voice chatting with friends, the formation of parties, dedicated friend invites...

The game it self is good...but the packaging was opened and all decals were gone.

Upgrades dont work as they should, game is unplayable

This game is awesome. Snappy controls and beautiful visuals make it a joy to explore the game's big interconnected world. The boss fights are a great challenge, and the puzzles required to find certain items are very clever and engaging. The Metroid series does not get enough love; despite its contributions to gaming and how commercially successful some of the games have been internationally, the series was never very successful in its home country of Japan. As a result, we don't get many games like this. But when we do, they are a treat, and I'm hoping more people check this game out and make it a turning point for the series, so that we can get more of it.

Overall a great game with a good story, sound and pretty graphics. Just wasnt worth my $60. I beat the game in less than 11hrs with most of those hours dying/restarting at checkpoints. If it wasnt for that id probably beat the game in one 8hr sitting. Its a nice retro comeback to the OG SM, but thats pretty much it. Once you upgrade Samus, youre basically done with the game. Just like the OG game, you cant progress any further without doing so.. so you dont have a choice but to upgrade. Theres no secrets. Theres no rewards. The only “upgrade” you can do apart from being a part of the story is the amount of missles you can carry. The replay value of this game is close to nothing because youve already maxed out samus by the time you reach the final boss. Overall disappointed.

Really cool and challenging game. We’re hooked. This might just make me into a gamer.

I love this game! A great addition to the Metroid series.

I'm a huge fan of every entry in the Metroid series, and Dread does not disappoint. Its map is huge, the sounds and music are very immersive, and it controls like a dream. The resolution to the 2D Metroid story arch feels earned, and while the plot moves fast, it doesn't feel unsatisfying. My only real complaint is that the map is so large and complicated that it can be a bit confusing. That, and I definitely can't recommend it as the first Metroidvania played by someone new to the genre - its hard, but in a non-frustrating way - but that difficulty may turn people away. Personally, I loved every second of it. 19 years in the making and it was well worth it. Probably my GOTY overall.

I love shinesparking through stuff. This game has old school side scroller feel that is not for everyone. The skill required to do the advanced techniques in the game that are not necessarily needed to beat the game may also put off some players. I enjoy it all. That’s what I call deep gameplay.

Overall it is an amazing game. A must have for all Metroid fans. So glad they brought the Metroid franchise back and hoping we get more games in the near future.

Dread is so good I can't compare if I like this more than 'Super' still or not. Both are tied at top of the Metroid for me. :)

Trapped in a space station all alone on an alien planet. A terrifying puzzle/maze with fun gameplay and amazing boss battles.
