    I have gone through a few controllers over the years, and Microsoft's have taken quite a beating and held up compared to others. There is only so much the sticks and buttons can take, however. I do like how the firmware is updated every six months or so and they continue to be responsive. It would be nice for some of the "Elite" controler's functionality be brought to the 'base' controller by now, so only 4 stars.
