Beautiful new form factor!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love my Duo! Every time I open it in front of people, they say it's the coolest thing they have ever seen! I truly appreciate being able to multi-task running 2 apps at the same time!

Too many glitches!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unfortunately I didn't like the Microsoft Duo and went back to a Samsung. The Duo has some nice features, such as being on 2 sites at the same time, but it didn't perform in many other ways. I had problems with the volume on calls and I had many problems with aps showing up that I didn't want and couldn't get rid of. Sorry Microsoft, you need a lot of work on this one.

Really unique device from a tech consumer
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the two screens! Haven’t experienced any bugs yet and hope not too. Only issue is that there isn’t any notification when closed so have to open it to see if you have anything.

Nice try, but try harder!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I returned mine. Beautiful hardware, but recent complaints about separation and battery swells... I returned mine, due to inconsistency with software experience even after updates. Random shut downs, non responsive touches. Etc weird instagram orientation with no specific update in site. Mediocre camera, oh the camera and video recording is horrible, whomever tells you otherwise don’t really care about picture quality! Anticipating the 2nd iteration! Too expensive for what you get.

Best PDA EVER
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I want to start off by saying that I DON'T USE THIS AS A PHONE. I USE IT AS A PDA ONLY. I think this is the best PDA out! I will add some type of sim to get an independent internet connection.

First Generation, good impression
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to use, at first it takes a couple of minutes of playing with it to figure it out, but still easy. As of now storage (my case 256 Gigs) being brand new is doable will see what the future brings; pictures from google photos will be auto added to all devices with the app. Feels like a really small windows tablet with convenience of the google play store. Wished it had a slot for storage expansion for SD card and wireless charging. USB C charging still good. The screen is really smooth to swipe and not a lot custom settings like an android phone but yet a lot slimmer than any phone out there.

Very sharp personal consumer product
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is fun to use and looks great. A better alternative to the folding screen on other new phones. This is a slick and easily usable product.

The Start of a Legacy
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first Microsoft/Android device. I have been using the iPhone since their 3rd gen and I'm not regretting the switch. It has some minor issues since its the first-gen, but overall it's an awesome phone

Great for work product
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far it works great. Very helpful for word, excel, and outlook. The dual screen allows you to work like you are sitting at your desktop. No issues.

Avoid Surface Duo Devices
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have had consistent software issues, hardware is flimsy, and customer support for this device is pathetic. Screen turning off and on at odd times while in use has been a continual issue. Constantly have to restart for the microphone to work for calls. The corners near the hing don't hold up to even light use. Even using gently compared to other devices the back plastic plate has cracked. Microsoft support has literally hung up on me 3 times by pretending not to hear me when I ask to file a complaint and ordering a replacement phone when I do not want one. Avoid this device and the DUO 2 if you can, the DUO 2 seems to use the same plastics and similar issues with the software. Kind of pathetic that a phone that cost the same as a decent laptop barely lasted 5 months... Going back to the galaxy phones... At least they last a year before you have to replace them

Disappointed Customer
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was very disappointed because I purchased this phone, fell and cracked it with a protector on and was not able to exchange it even though I had insurance from Verizon who informed me that the line carried insurance. I had to purchase the Best buy extended warranty and still was unable to exchange the phone. I was sent through the ringer trying to get a new phone through Microsoft after being on the phone for at least 3 hours and finally was able to speak to someone that I was able to understand. I was still confused by the steps and ladder I had to climb through to get my phone exchanged, and to this day am still without out a phone. I am deeply disappointed and will not purchase anything again from Best Buy.

Phone review
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was skeptical to use the phone because it received bad reviews and many of the buyers recommend not to purchase this phone. So I concluded it was not a good investment to make at this time. I would consider buying this phone in the future if the quality of the phone improves. I really like the appearance of the phone I think it was love at first sight, but the reviews just changed my mind.

Long time ipad user, now using this
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As an avid ipad/iphone user, I did not buy this as a phone, but to replace my ipad mini 5, because when opened, it is the same size, but more compact for carrying. I am still getting used to the Android OS, but with the Microsoft, the only thing missing is getting my texts on both devices, and I think I can live without it. The ONLY negative is the Kindle app keeps switching to a single page when I'm charging while using it. It took me awhile to figure that out and I will report it to MS so hopefully they'll have a solution

Microsoft Duo
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There is a lot to say about the Surface Duo. I got mine day one and have been using it as my only mobile device ever since. I have also had the opportunity to try it out in Europe with mobile providers there and I've had no issues. I'll begin this review with the negatives, even though I feel like there are a lot more positives to the Surface Duo, the negatives are kind of polarizing.

Returned because no dual active sim
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decent phone but doesn't do dual active SIM as was expected. Will do dual sim (1 physical, 1 eSim) but you cannot use both without manually switching the settings to set the one you want to use as active. Sticking with my Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G. Dual Sim use on that phone and I'm very happy with it. I wished the Surface DUO could have done it for me.

Good Starter
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although I loved this device I ended up trading it in for the Duo 2 which is far superior. Both are great but I like moving up in the world :)

Interesting 1st Gen Device - Shows Promise
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Interesting 1st gen device, as it shows a great deal of promise for a new form factor device. The multi-screen interface is very fluid and intuitive, and while sometimes lags/buggy but overall very surprised at how natural it feels. A little frustrated with the lack of extra MicroSD storage, but its an easy workaround shifting most data to the cloud overall. Integration with Office 365 is spot on, and I will use this more than my Surface Book, as it's functional and allows me to avoid carrying multiple devices.
