I owned a iPad before but did not want to pay the high price. The Surface Go I discovered was a very good alternative for the price. It has the more features that the Samsung has. I have a computer and a tablet. The surface is a little slow the reason I did not give 5 stars. I am not a high power user so the Surface meets my needs and a price I can live with.

It functions like a PC but is a convenient size to use while sitting watching tv. I gave it 4 stars because you are limited to windows apps in order to protect the device from viruses, which some people will consider a negative. However, most of the apps I used on my previous tablet are not necessary on this device as I can access websites directly, without the app.

Just know when you make the switch to Windows 10 Home Edition, that you will not be able to switch back. Windows 10 S (store) should be S (sucks) but the tablet loaded Win 10 pro, Office Pro 2019, Firefox, Norton, malwarebytes, and took a 256 gb side-chip. Still had half the primary drive left after the adds.

It runs a smaller form of Windows, so it runs very quickly, but this operating system ONLY lets you download apps from Microsoft. It's basically a tiny computer, so don't expect to be able to find your favorite gaming or navigation apps here.

Although Surface Go comes in Windows 10 S mode, if you wish, you may switch to Windows 10 Home Edition for free. Just note that when you make the switch, you wont be able to go back to S mode. The bezels could’ve been a little smaller but that’s my only minor complaint. As far as I understand this tablet is not upgradable so keep that in mind
