My orginal intent was to buy the base model but the wife talked me into upgrading. It boots very fast and so far has done really well at everything I have used it for....i.e. email, surfing the net and watching movies.

I don't really see any difference in speed, although I don't use it for CPU or GPU intensive tasks. I also use the UAG Plasma Case with the included shoulder strap and keyboard and they all fit together perfect!

It is great. Works nice with a stylus as a tablet. The keyboard cover is a great accessory. S-Mode is a nice feature. Next time, I will spend more for a more powerful Microsoft Surface laptop. The one I currently bought could be more powerful or have specs listed better with model on a variety of commercial websites.
