It is a little slow, but i have been using it for Kindle reader, surfing the web and limited typing of emails and documentss.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Everything about the Surface Go is excellent, and this coming from a lifelong Apple fanatic. The form factor is perfect. Small, portable but screen size suitable for most tasks from web browsing to using the full office desktop applications. I love the front facing speakers, the kickstand is perfection and finally (FINALLY) USB C with full functionality (power delivery charge, display and data). Even without the keyboard and pen accessories, this makes a fantastic tablet to browse the web and watch netflix. The micro SD card slot makes it easy to expand storage space. Battery life is acceptable and Ive been able to get 7-8 hours on a charge for most everyday tasks. Do not be fooled into thinking the pentium gold processor is weak. I am pleasantly surprised at the responsiveness and capability of this processor. I've had several browser tabs open, slack, skype, excel and a youtube video playing simultaneously and this little tablet/laptop hybrid can be a workhorse! If you've been waiting for a tablet/laptop hybrid that has the versatility of a "work" machine, stop waiting! The Surface Go is the future.

Thanks for reaching out. Surface Go comes standard in S mode, which only allows you to download apps that are available in the Microsoft Store. If you'd like to download or install apps and programs that aren't in the Microsoft Store you will need to switch your Surface Go out of S mode. Super Slow

The tablet was so slow it could barely run Chrome, let alone more demanding apps. Almost any tablet in its price range would be a better choice. It's a shame considering its bigger, more expensive brothers are so beloved and favorably reviewed. Great build quality, though.

Worst tablet ever

I have 3 other tablets that are at least 3 yrs older and they out perform this piece crap by far. Tablet is slow, keeps dropping connection and the pen response is sporadic. Don't waste your money with this one. Opt out for the Pro if you can afford it.
