Not worth the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you add the type cover and get the mid model you end up sending almost 700 for that price you can get a surface pro. The web browsing was pretty slow and would lag to load pages.

Note hangs when copying sections
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The viewable screen is too small for me. I am switching to bigger size 2 in 1 laptop. Also, when copying from one Note tab to another, there is a long period of non-response. It works well for smaller projects not heavy duty applications.

I’ve had many issues
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this for a year and a half and I sent it back due to a corrupted update within the first month of having it. Now my touch screen has dead spots in it. I have tried everything I could find with no luck. Microsoft support couldn’t fix it either. I don’t have a warranty anymore so it will cost me almost half of what I paid for the device to send it away to fix it. I would not recommend this device. I had heard a lot of good things but I have had nothing but trouble. Very disappointed.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There doesn't seem to be a app for Amazon prime video in Microsoft market which is disappointing. I bought this to replace my Apple iPad, I probably should have just got another iPad.

Posted .Hello,
Thanks for taking the time to reach out. Surface Go comes standard with Windows 10 in S mode, which is a safety feature that only allows you to download apps that are available in the Microsoft Store. If you'd like to use additional apps on your Surface Go, you'll need to switch your Surface out of S mode which you can do here: https://aka.ms/AA4rbqo.

Love the size and portability!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off let me say I'm normally a die hard Apple junkie (like get all the products and watch the conference type junkie lol) but I have to say I'm very pleased with the Surface Go! I originally got the Surface Pro about a year or so ago and wasn't a fan of it between the bad battery life, laggy speed, and the fact that its died and needed replacing or fixing two separate times! But this past Sunday, when taking my dead Pro to be shipped off for refurbishing/fixing, I happened to see the Go. I was hesitant to get it given my experience with the Pro but I decided to give it a shot since I didn't want to break the bank for an iPad Pro and my frustrations with trying to write on the normal iPad got the best of me. I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised, this little device packs quite the punch! It's like having a better yet smaller version of the Pro. The size is great, it easily fits in my purse or backpack, I love the new colored cases, and I was able to just save my pen from my Pro and use it on the Go (the pens are on the pricey side). I think its a great device to use for work or school. My only issues with it are with the S mode, which I plan to switch out of soon. I feel as though it slows the device down and if you have to download ANYTHING that's not off the Microsoft store (i.e. something to let you access internet on a school campus or something) you wont be able to. Bottom line: Is it powerful enough to be your sole computer? Probably not. Is it still a computer? 100% yes. Can it compare to the iPad? 100% yes. It's a tablet/computer that will fit more business/ school related needs that Apple can't compete with given their iOS. It has the familiarity of Windows computers as well as the power, but crammed into a tiny iPad sized package!

Awesome second device!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I always carry 2 laptops, need it for my IT job. I want a small light device as a carry around device. I had a Surface 3 for ages, until it died from use and abuse. Replaced it with a Yoga 700 refurb that did fine. I wanted a new small device, no one had one that grabbed me. This thing did. It's the true worthy successor to the Surface 3. Perfect size, weighs nothing, battery is fine for my needs, get a day out of it. Got it out of S Mode first thing, runs all my work LOB apps, is surprisingly fast in general office apps. I have never felt it being laggy at all. Half the teachers want one now. Also, thank you Microsoft for FINALLY dumping that awful, useless Marvell wifi adapter, the bane of all Surface devices.

perfect for traveling
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just got my Surface Go for Christmas, and Im already using it. I travel for work, sometimes overnight for days at a time. I needed something to replace my old laptop and I wanted something small and portable. This little guy is exactly what I was looking for. Its small enough for me to stick in my purse, a lot faster than I expected, and it has a small charger so im not carrying around a huge cord which is another reason I chose the Go. The convenience of a laptop and tablet helps me to get my paperwork done very easily. I got the full package with my computer...type cover, pen, and I wasn't going to get the mouse but after a few days of using the Go I decided to get the mouse and it definitely helps navigation in laptop mode. Im loving this little machine so far! I got the 128gb/8gb but I cant really comment on storage just yet because I haven't really stored anything. I do plan to buy an external storage device.

Garbage!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What a piece of garbage this thing is. Excessively long and complicated to set up. Works well for me as a Tablet/PC hyrbid on the go
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall I am happy with the Surface Go. This device is what I was hoping for when the Surface RT launched years ago. I wanted a 10 inch tablet that I could use as a quick work PC on the go. The Surface Go has all the feature benefits of a tablet and PC in one. Don't expect for this device to be a powerhouse in terms of performance. The device is very versatile for what you need it to be. Just be cautious that the cost could get up there very quickly. If you want a tablet with an optional keyboard, mouse, and microsoft stylus. You are now easily over $800 dollars with the 128GB storage/8GB of memory configuration. I love that this device fits in my backpack without the weight of a PC while having all the features of one. I would have loved one with a stronger processor, maybe an i3. I hope that future generations of the Surface Go have a smaller bezel so the form factor will have more screen real estate. I chose the smaller size of the Surface Go over the performance of the surface Pro.

Selling my iPad this Surface Go fits my needs
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't write reviews often, however, I'm compelled to write about the Surface Go. I've had the tablet two days now, and I can tell you that it will be replacing the 10" iPad pro that's been sitting on my shelf collecting dust. The iPad is great for media consumption or someone who doesn't need a file system. I've purchased many different laptops, 2 in 1 hybrids, Macs, iPads, etc. with the goal of finding a device that is portable enough to carry everywhere and can run general office applications. Recently I converted from Apple, into using a 15" Surface Book 2 for use when at my desk and a 13" Surface Book 2 for when I'm on the go. The 13" Surface Book 2 is a fantastic mobile machine, but it is still a bit bulky. Since I already had the two Surface Books I could not justify purchasing a Surface Pro; the screen size is too similar to the Surface Book. In my quest to find the perfect on the go machine I tried HP Spectre, Razer Stealth, and Asus Zenbook, each of these machines had their drawbacks and weren't portable enough to go everywhere. Along comes the Surface Go, while it isn't a powerhouse it is sufficient to use as my go anywhere machine. It starts up quickly, its light, easy to carry, has Surface Pen support and runs Windows applications. It's strange to carry around a device as compact as an iPad but enables me to be productive with very few compromises. Some key notes to take away, Chrome is fine on this machine, but I suggest using Edge as it is much smoother and responsive. Office Apps work great; the file system is quick on the 128GB SSD version, it does not get hot at all, Surface Type keyboard is much better than the Apple iPad keyboard, Windows Hello works flawlessly. Who is the Surface Go for? In my opinion, it should be your second device, not a primary computing device. Typing out a long paper can be done, but your hands will be cramped. Heavy workloads will probably result in frustration due to the processor speed. I've tried nearly every brand of laptop including all Apple models and this year Microsoft Surface products are the very best.
