Great performing and portable laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great performing laptop for those wanting a small portable unit. So compact and easy to carry around. I've seen no issues for what I use this for, primary basic MS Office functions and Internet.

Amazing power in such a thin device
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Surface 2 hoping to replace my useless Dell laptop. I’m a musician using the tablet for music. Being disabled I got the Surface 2 to mix and master my music. So far I’ve been creating simple video to go with free improv music. The music comes from a band I play in The Dits. I then put the combo on YouTube. My goal is to put up at least one song per album. It seems noise music has become popular in some places and much of our music falls in the noise category. My work is cut out for me because there is a very extensive catalog of our work. So far the Surface 2 has more than fulfilled its purpose. As an electronicst I am impressed by the packaging. Everything is in there. I recommend the Surface 2 wholeheartedly. https://thedits.bandcamp.com/ https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCcuH1uzaHJVkco8_56D9DPQ

So easy to carry.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This one is more of a laptop than a tablet. Tiny and excellent form factor. Price is affordable with 4452y model, but a little bit slow to multitasking. Understand this short coming thanks to price point. If you need Word and Excel and Email checking, this is a perfect laptop.

Great compact, lightweight computer.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a light weight Windows device for my genealogy. Due to arthritis in my hands, I had trouble lifting my laptop. Combined with the keyboard, the Surface Go 2 is exactly what I needed. I love it!

Great 2- in- 1 detachable tablet/laptop for window
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Microsoft GO 2 tablet design is great elegant looking slim 2-in-1 laptop/tablet when compatible keyboard is attached (sold separately). This is the second or next generation of previous generation of Microsoft GO with improved specs and screen size that competes with Ipad. It has curved edges/slim bezels on sides compared to the previous model(GO) and weighs around 1.2 pounds(without key type cover) and has 10.5inch touchscreen(slightly larger than previous gen) with 1920 x 1280 pixels of max screen resolution. What is in the box: Surface Go2 Tablet, documentation (quick start guide), Power supply. Measurement & Weight: It measures 7.81 X 10.61 X1.83 inches and weighs 1.2 pounds Display: Surface Go 2 is 10;5-inch touch screen is only 0.5 inch larger than its predecessors screen(diagonally) and includes more pixels for a slightly higher resolution:1920 X 1280 pixels or 220 pixels per inch(ppi). Compared to iPad this resolution is lesser. Comes with latest wireless connectivity that support Wi-Fi6(802.11ax) as well as Bluetooth 5.0 Operating System: Comes with windows10 in S mode installed and has face recognition like password-free windows Hello Sign in. Windows 10 in S mode is for security/performance and it allows only apps from Microsoft store. Default browser is Microsoft Edge. You can uninstall windows 10 S mode if you want to install any application that’s not in Microsoft store but once you switch to regular windows 10 from windows S mode there is no way to turn in back(its one way switch), To uninstall Windows S mode, open Settings >Update & Security > Activation. You will see Switch to Windows 10 Home or Switch to Windows 10 Pro section. Click and it will take to the Microsoft store where you will have a button to switch to regular windows. I had to switch to regular windows to install some apps that are not supported. Performance: When it comes to performance, this unit is good for regular browsing and not intended for heavy video editing or gaming. The unit that was sent for this review (Best Buy Tech Insider invitation only review program for the purpose of writing honest, unbiased review) was Intel Pentium Gold Processor 128GB, 8GB RAM, Platinum. There is a step up model with Intel Core M3 – WiFi and LTE for additional $80(WiFi model). Suggest to get the model with Intel core M3 if you are planning to use this tablet as windows system for anything other than browsing, word processing, light multitasking or watching videos. Battery Life: Microsoft advertises the battery life as 10 hours but with good brightness and watching videos/browsing web browsing and the battery lasted for 9.2 hours. Again, this depends on the usage and applications. Kick Stand: Built in kick stand that can be adjusted from 0 to 165 degrees for watching movies and for working is very handy and useful. Signature Keyboard: As part of package, received the signature keyboard in ice blue color. Keyboard is very compact, sleek and adjustable and performs like a full-size keyboard. Costs around $110(as of writing this review) and you need this for sure to get the full functionality of this tablet if you are planning to use Windows for word editing or working with excel. Keyboard is alcantara finish that snaps magnetically and the keys are backlit with a large glass trackpad. Keyboard has windows key and dedicated buttons for media controls and screen brightness like traditional keyboard. Keyboard type cover weighs around 245 grams and measures 99.2mm x 56,5mm. Camera: Includes front facing 5 megapixel1080p camera for selfies or skype /video calls. Works great with Skype calls and zoom video calls. Front camera includes IR sensors for face recognition windows hello login. With the kickstand, this portable tablet is the daily driver for video calls with families and friends during this pandemic and 8-megapixel rear facing autofocus camera that shoots 1080p video. Speaker & Mic: Great sounding speakers with 2- watt stereo speakers and is good for conference calls and for room filling sound. Bottomline: Light design with good build quality, Larger battery & display compared to earlier version, increased performance, built in kickstand, 2- in- 1 detachable tablet/laptop for windows. Overall, would recommend for someone who needs windows device on the Go. This is my honest, unbiased review and neither Microsoft nor Best Buy had any input in this review.

Good for the price, but too slow for serious use
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't expect real speed from this. If you're looking for a general purpose tablet you'll want to buy something else. However, for simple games (i.e. Candy Crush) and basic web browsing it works fine and the price is right.

Great deal
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Surface go 3 is out so the 2 line is on markdown. It’s a great tablet and light use laptop. It is fully capable with full fledged windows. I ultimately returned this for the go 3 due to a refurb deal bb had at the time.

Great for class
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great tablet to take to class....get the Kingston case to go with it it will make it feel more secure and the keyboard still attaches perfect. I wish it was bundled with a keyboard and a pen without it adding 200 bucks

I wanted to like this
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First the good the screen as bright the colors are great and the camera works well for zoom calls and Skype calls. The frame is also high-quality and the kickstand is really great. I was able to get about 6 1/2 hours of playback of YouTube or web browsing at 77% brightness. The keyboard attachment is top notch as well. Now for the bad. The battery was not the best the most I could get at a decent brightness for 6 1/2 hours but if you do more than one thing at a time the time definitely goes down. It’s slow. I paid extra for the eight gigs of RAM and the upgraded hard drive hoping this would make a difference but often programs took long to load and the updates took a very long time, like a couple of hours. Like I say I really wanted to like this and there are some things that are really good but the poor battery life still performance and A AppStore that is poor compared to the competition. Not a great tablet and not a great computer ultimately I returned it and will just use an iPad

Perfect for my writing.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I write and this is the best that I have found besides my laptop. I use this MORE than what I do my laptop. The battery lasts for days when I am just writing, will last for a good 8 or 9 hours when watching movies.

Great tablet/size
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm really happy with my new tablet, I am a resident and used to have a Surface Pro 4 as a medical student. My old surface broke, so when I wanted to get a new one I wanted something smaller and the Go 2 is perfect!

good for on the go
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A little slow at times, but not that bad for general use and some light photo editing and music production. I feel the cost is a little too high unless they tossed in the keyboard and pen. Screen quality is excellent, battery life is okay, the kickstand is amazing for use on a table or desk. This is not a Surface Pro so don't expect amazing speed or to use high performance required applications. Some games play well, other do not.
