It is what I would have expected from a tablet - small, light, etc. Making it a substitute for my desktop while I am traveling seems to be possible, but far more work than it should be. Starting with trying to install my standard browser, Firefox, the operating system seemed to just ignore my request with an incomprehensible warning about "S-mode". I tried to network it with my desktop but that proved impossible (for me), even when I tried a direct USB connection. I went to the old (very old) method of porting files by using an intermediate external drive. Even that required me to buy a special USB adapter. I have been working on it for about a week now. Making progress but still some way to go.

So far, so good. Purchased for a test run to use on a manufacturing floor to enter data and clock production times. Since these were home versions, we had to upgrade to Microsoft pro, but that was offset by the savings of buying the older model. So far for testing they are performing well, and we are looking forward to them lasting a good long while.

    Surface GO 3 Good but....

I purchased the Surface GO 3 (128GB, 8GB memory) and on balance it is a nice computer. It is much faster than my Surface GO 1 owing to its quicker processor (6500Y); Windows 11 does well on the device. But, the battery life is poor as I am only getting about 4 hours per charge despite Microsoft's claim of up to 11 hours--although MS states one's usage could deviate from that significantly which is a bit of a cop out. Nevertheless, a nice computer despite the battery tradeoff.

I've had this tablet for one month as a grad student. I just wanted a way to digitize my note-taking, and with the compatible stylus pen it delivers on that. Along with replacing my paper notebooks, the tablet allows me to quickly access onedrive, google drive, or my other computer directly to grab files if needed in class or while I'm working without having to email things to myself or anything like that. It's a real time-saver. For class homework asignments, I regularly need to incorporate symbols and characters in my work that either don't exist in word processors or I'd need to repeatedly go digging through menus to access. With the tablet and pen, I'm able to switch between hand-writing and typing as needed seamlessly, so hand-drawing the needed symbols becomes a non-issue and then its back to being able to type the rest faster than I could hand write it. Battery life is good. I can charge it up on Sunday and it's good for two 1.5 hour long classes and a few hour long work sessions for the week. Charge it again on Friday and it gets me through working over the weekend. All in all a great purchase and great for helping me organize.

Good product, although we had a lot of trouble setting it up. The response from the keyboard is very poor. It is a very basic machine although it has good performance for simple jobs, it is not functional for games

Was so excited to get this, wanted a simple 2 in 1 to do word processing/ web browsing in coffee shops. I even bought the keyboard, pen, and a mouse to go with it. Upon first booting it worked okay, responsive, not laggy. After hours of updates it lost 10gb of storage and CPU runs hot with nothing open. Edge is keeping the CPU maxed at 100% with background processes even when there are literally no tabs open of anything. Using ctrl alt delete took 20 seconds to load, and having 2 tabs open in edge gave page unresponsive errors. I am so bummed out, Edge is bloatware that can't be deleted. I will buy samsung from now on, my Galaxy s10+ phone from 2019 works more powerfully and efficiently than this surface go :/

Bought this as a gift. The only downside to the Surfacw go in my eyes is the battery doesn't last. It was drained in about 3 hours. If this is a toy tablet, then it's great, but I wouldn't use this for productivity.

Practicle little tablet (or should I say laptop?). Has the power to run Windows 11 without a flaw. Very convenient especially if you add a keyboard. I highly recommend as this is my third version of Surface tablet since the original Surface and they keep getting better!

This is actually my 2nd surface. I enjoy all the benefits of the surface. It can go anywhere, easy to carry and use in a small area. The strength of a computer or iPad. It can be used as a tablet or computer. I assumed I would always use my iPad, however I catch myself using the surface more for web based adventures.
