The first one locked up and then shut completely off. It was still under warranty so I sent it back to Microsoft and they said they could not fix it since the screen was cracked. I would have gladly paid for the replacement of the screen if they would have honored the warranty, but was not given that option. They just emailed it back to me with a bigger crack in the screen and told me it was treated rough and they would not fix it. So I just lost $750. Well, i wanted a Surface so i purchased another and it did the same thing within in a week only it did not shut down. Fan noise and hot and error message that said if you don't contact this number it will shut down. I closed it up and took it back and will never purchase another Microsoft Surface again and will try not to purchase any device made by Microsoft.

It runs windows 10 meaning all your regular desktop programs will work here, in comparison to android or iOS apps. Remove the keyboard, which is sold separately, and you have a very nice tablet. It is a beautifully powerful slice of tech.

Turns out you have to buy both of those. The images of other tablets that I have purchased from Best Buy don't include the keyboard or other accessories in the image of the item. So, overall happy with the purchase but unhappy with how Best Buy presented it since it is misleading and required a couple hundred dollars more to get the keyboard and pen.
