We both shopped the options and agreed that he needed to flexability of a tablet but usability of a laptop. Setup was easy and he absolutely loves the his Surface Pro. I did purchase the pen with it and he figured out how to use it by the end of the day and was taking notes with it.

Worth every Penny

Passed the first one to my wife after a year of flawless use. The display is excellent equaling or better than the Ipad or Macbook. While it could have more ports, you can buy adapters for around 15.00. Plus it does have an SD slot which can hold storage. With the keyboard included it is an excellent purchase.
