My husband is the one who primarily uses this tablet, and he loves it! He's an aspiring comic book artist, and this tablet helps him so much with sketching on the go which saves us in paper and ink!

Its what I expected. Its a small tablet that also can run your MS Office programs. I love the HD screen and tablet size. I dont so much like the reduced battery life. I especially hate Windows 8 but that is being forced down the consumers throught so we dont have a choice there.

Overall good product for the price. When charging cord is on, than there is no holding spot for stylet ( they share the spot). Key board doesn't always come up when you hit put the cursor in the typing area.

I really enjoy this as a replacement for my huge laptop for work, but as I often have to work offline it can sometimes be a problem having to wait to sync until I get home. I was not aware when I bought it that it did not come with a keyboard so watch out for that.

    Midrange laptop in tablet form

I purchased the Surface Pro 2 partially for business (I manage shipping franchise) and partially for play. So far, I have not been disappointed: I have a Lenovo laptop for work, and it has been almost replaced, as the SP2 is faster and easier to use (Lenovo 505). The USB port is a blessing for my external hard drive, or mouse. The SP2 is a $600+ laptop (depending on MSRPs, etc) that is in a tablet form factor that supports a pen interface (Wacom Digitizer). I recommend NOT having a screen protector as the Digitizer can stick and pull at it. Being a FULL Windows 8.1 machine, it runs my Point-of-Sale program, Microsoft Office 2013, and I have been using Adobe InDesign CC as well -- The pen works excellent here; just be sure to have a steady hand. The on-screen keyboard is very responsive, but I recommend either the touch or type keyboard. I am using the touch currently, and I am still not used to it -- it also leaves smudges on the screen, so keep a screen cloth handy. Also, the graphics are very good, considering it is an 4400HD Intel chip. The Hearthstone: Hero's of Warcraft (Card game) looks fantastic. Be warned, that it is an integrated GPU and the system will get warm after a bit. There are no complaints about the battery so far. I haven't ran it all the way down, but with InDesign and Office running, Wi-Fi & Bluetooth on, I have worked for 3hrs and still had a charge left. Remember when looking at this item: This is not just a tablet: Its a FULL version of Windows 8.1. Anything that you have installed on your personal laptop or desktop can be installed here. It will run it, and do so with no lag while multitasking. It probably goes without saying, but at least a year of Geek Squad accidental damage is a must! My only issues so far: 1. No keyboard is included: this is disappointing because the SP2 is geared for businesses that need desktop power and applications on the go. It gets uncomfortable typing out long emails on the screen. 2. Memory is stuck at 4gb: 6 would be preferred especially with some of the programs I run. This is in no way a deal breaker 3. You need an additional adapter for HDMI out; This is a small let down as there is a full USB port. This may not matter to most people, but if you need to connect to a monitor or projector you will need the mini-display port adapter. 4. Charger is not travel friendly! The Incipio case has a small pouch on the front, but with the SP2 and Touch cover on there is only about 1/4-1/2" of depth between the SP2 and the pouch front wall. So the charger will have to be carried separately.

Still learning about this new technology

It is very difficult for me to learn on this tablet due to time constraints. Also I figured that I like windows and could easily learn Windows*. Not true. I worked with the Surface Pro 2 128 for 1 few days. with the help of my 12 year old grandson, I was progressing. Then I did not use it for 1 week. I could not power on or start the Tablet. It took a technician over an hour to help me finally wake up my slumbering tablet. Others he told me also have the same problem. Now I can not get on because some how my pass word has changed and I did not change it. But my email address for my other PC, the password works on the same address. I am glad I got the tablet and I will persevere. Maybe the book form Costco on Windows 8 will help.

I bought this for my wife as replacement for a dead laptop. Love the fact that it is both a Laptop and a tablet. The extra price for the keyboard/cover is a bit of a shock. Plus the track-pad is not the best, but being touch screen really makes that a mute point.

Still learning the capabilities, but so far so good on using the basics - e.g. office suite, email, web surfing, YouTube. This will definitely eventually replace my aging laptop.

I've only had it one week. Using it to play games at this point. Display is great good detail. Batery life is slightly lower than expected. Not much of a problem for me because i'm usually near a power outlet. Over all I like this Surface Pro 2 128.

I was talked into buying this specific tablet instead of a traditional PC for my practice. It was a great choice. It is my first tablet so I am not sure if they are all great or if my advisor just pointed me to the best.

Very nice tablet for work. Runs desktop programs great. For the price office student version should be included. Have to restart sometimes to get internet back. Windows 8 learning curve isn't bad. Using a Bluetooth trackball for navigation.

This is a great tablet that really feels like a laptop. It does all the things I need without to much compromise. It may be pricey but it will be worth it in the end.

I good tablet for being Windows 8 controlled. I wish you could have the power cord plugged in and mount the stylus at the same time (they both attach at the same spot). would definitely recommend a case of some sort to protect the screen.

I'm not thrilled with how it takes it's updates. I find that disruptive. I really love using it though I'm still struggling to get use to the new technology. The more I use it the better I love it. I'm glad I went with the Surface 2 Pro.

This is a nice tablet in the 10 inch class. Excellent screen resolution and color for use in daylight conditions. Works just like a desktop. You will need a Car Charger with MS special power connector to really enjoy the tablet's freedom.
