Touchscreen and Windows 8 are the biggest issue I have with this computer. It is getting better every time I use it. Still working on learning it.

In a perfect world the battery would last a little bit longer, but since it's not a perfect world this is an outstanding product.

Bought this so I could work remotely from home. Seems to work o.k. for what I need. Has the ability to function as a laptop and tablet which I like. Windows 8 takes some getting used to and I am still learning. I would have used my Ipad with a keyboard cover but my work program is windows based and would not run on ios so I am stuck using a windows product. Overall I am still an apple fan but this gets the job done for what I need it to do.

    Best Tablet Ever!!! (In-Depth Review)

I'm certainly not a Microsoft fanboy or anything, but this tablet is absolutely amazing. What you essentially get is a FULL-FLEDGED PC experience all bundled up into a nice tablet package. Let me reiterate, this is not some iPad, this is a fully functional computer! As a fairly productive person who needs decent computing power, this tablet satisfies most if not all of my needs. Let me just spell everything out for you. Features: 1. Full PC!- This particular model uses an 4th gen Intel Core i5, which is a fantastic processor seen in many laptops. This isn't some little ARM processor seen in most apple and android tablets. You even have 4 GB of RAM, which is equivalent to most laptops out there. 2. Windows 8.1 Pro - Love it or hate it, Windows 8.1 Pro runs very smoothly on this device. It's very snappy and responds very well (thanks to the processor and solid state drive). I believe that Windows 8 was made for a tablet. And...well.. here's a tablet! The app store is still a little bare compared to Google Play and Apple's app store but let's face it, PC Programs > Apps 3. Storage- The 128 GB SSD provides a decent amount of storage space. Since it's an SSD, you can expect a quick and snappy experience when opening programs and files. For a regular user 128 GB is a decent amount of storage but those with loads of content might need to use an SD card or an external hard drive. 4. Ports- There is a USB 3.0 port on the side which is perfect for hard drives, flash drives, and ANY other USB device out there. With the 3.0 port you can expect much faster data transfer rates than the much more common USB 2.0. There's also a mini DisplayPort if you want to connect it to a monitor or TV. On the right side is a micro SD card slot if you want to add even more storage space. There's also a headphone jack as well. 5. Pen Stylus- This was one of the really big selling points for me. I am involved with digital art and this tablet satisfies me perfectly. The pen is a Wacom pen (for those who don't know, they are well known for their drawing tablets), that magnetically attaches to the charging port when not in use. The entire tablets almost exactly like a Wacom drawing tablet (think Wacom Cintiq). There is pressure sensitivity and an active digitizer. For those who don't speak tech, it means that thickness of the lines depends on how hard you press (a necessity for any computer based artist). With the active digitizer, you can rest your hand on the screen without your hand affecting anything, which gives you the feel of actually drawing on a piece of paper. The pen also has an eraser type sensor on the top end and a right button on the side. With full PC capabilities who can use popular art programs like Photoshop, Art Rage, or my personal favorite Clip Studio Paint (a.k.a. Manga Studio). The only thing it does lack is the texturized feel of an actual Wacom tablet. But this is certainly a great feature for novices, intermediates, and even some professional artists. With great portability you can draw almost anywhere! 6. Gaming- I wouldn't expect too much. Without a dedicated GPU your stuck with the Intel 4000 Graphics built into the i5 processor. It's perfect for some casual gaming though. Just don't expect to play Crisis, Metro 2033, Battlefield 3 on the highest settings or anything. But it does play Minecraft! 7. Cameras- They're alright. Both the front and back camera are 1.2 Mega Pixels, which makes them FAR from the best camera out there. But they are capable of shooting at a 720p resolution making them decent for some webcam chats. 8. Battery- I was a little bit worried about the battery life at first but I found that it lasts a decently long time, despite having a PC processor in it. Microsoft claims you can get about 7 hours of use out of it. And that's actually about right! With light to moderate usage I can get about 5 to 6 hours out of it. Which is already more than most laptops. 9. Misc. Features- A lot of the marketing was focused around the built in kick-stand. While it may seem kinda gimmicky, I do find it to be pretty useful. On the Pro 2 it has two positions. The first position is good for sitting on a table right in front of you, while the second position is good for viewing screen from a higher viewpoint like on your lap. The Type (or Touch) cover is another good accessory to have. Despite being a bit pricey it is good to idea to have this. It functions as a protective cover and a keyboard (touch screen key boards are just bleh!). It magnetically hooks into the bottom of the tablet and is directly connected. If it's too expensive you can always just use some other USB or Bluetooth keyboard. Conclusion: This tablet kicks butt! It is a very productive device with the gift of good portability. It outclasses any iPad and Android tablet out there. You won't be dissatisfied at all. Just make sure you don't get the RT version though. Recommended For- novice and intermediate artists, students, business people, casual gamers, and anyone who travels a lot Pros: 1. Full desktop PC capabilities 2. Built-in Wacom drawing tablet 3. Full-sized USB 3.0 port and memory expansion options Cons: 1. Microsoft App store lacks the wide range of apps offered by Google Play and Apple 2. Cameras could be better 3. Accessories can be a bit expensive
