    Recently purchased the Surface Pro 3. Love this product. I have owned lots of different tablets and computers and this one beats them all. I travel quite frequently and this computer/tablet serves all my needs.

    Love the device but not the malfunction

    I love the device and it has everything i need for work, school, and play. I have been having difficulties with the battery. The device is plugged into the charger and the charging light is on, but not necessarily charging; therefore it dies very quickly. The battery icon is always drained or has an X which says "battery not found in this device". I have to take the device back to best buy to see what is the problem. Also, the pen when clicked, is supposed to be able to take screenshots and open the one-note program automatically. Mine does not. Besides these problems i love the device.

    Got rid of my MacBook Pro Retina and it was totally worth it!!!! I was a little anxious and kind of worried that I would either not like this thing or that I would miss my MacBook, but nope! Perfect device and it is very powerful. Amazing as well for taking notes! Microsoft killed it with this one!!!

    I purchased the Surface Pro 3 i3 64GB model on Friday August 1, 2014. It setup easily, and worked great until Sunday August 3, 2014. I attempted to turn it on, and it wouldn't turn on. I plugged it in, and made sure it was properly charging. I let it charge for 8 hours, just to be sure that it was fully charged before its next use. I unplugged it, and tried to turn it on with no success. I found troubleshooting options on Microsoft's website, and completed all of them, and the tablet still wouldn't turn on. I plugged it back in, and let it charge all night. Monday August 4, 2014, I tried to turn it on, and it wouldn't turn on still. Four hours later, I pressed the power button 3 times repeatedly, and it finally turned on. Then I saw that there was a critical update that needed downloaded, but I couldn't download it because the network adapter wouldn't connect to my wireless network, even though it had before. I contacted Microsoft, and they advised me to send it to them or return/replace it through Best Buy. I will be doing that later today. When it did work, it worked great. I really enjoyed the tablet.

    Amazing combination of tablet and laptop. Mobility and functionality at the same time. Only drawback is the storage size if you look from the laptop point of view. Given the price, the storage size should have been higher. True for the 128GB option too. BTW, this a duplicate submission for me. While I wrote the previous review, I mistook this to be another product. Moderator, please delete the previous one. Thanks.

    I bought a surface pro3 on 8/9/2015 for my office. I gave it to my IT person to set up to integrate with my other computers in my new office. Because of some minor delays, my IT person didn't get to work on it until 9/1/2015 and found the item was defective. After he spent an hour with Microsoft support try to fix the problem, he was told it could not be fixed and I needed to send it to them to get a replacement. But they would replace it with a refurbished one. I went back to Bestbuy store try to replace it. I was told this was more than 15 days, outside of their return policy. So I'm stuck with this broken equipment. In the mean time the software trainer I hired can not integrate this part into the training. The reason I bought it from Bestbuy was I thought it would be easier to return if there is a problem. But instead it was my worst-buy.

    My surface pro 3 worked excellent the 1st night I had it, I took it out of the box turned it on, charged it. I played with it for about thirty minutes, took it off charge turned it off. Got it out the next day and turned it on, went to sign in, it went straight to black screen after I signed in and doesn't respond. Since there is no best buy in my area I will be traveling to the closest one to return it Monday morning.

    Microsoft surface support is terrible

    Jut after warranty the device stopped working. After numerous calls and visits to the Microsoft store they suggested a trade in value that is $20 less than a new device. During a support call follow up they offered a lower trade value. When we tried to take the offer it was not honored and they reverted back to the original value.

    Out of the box, the wall plug DOESNT EVEN FIT INTO THE ADAPTER!! You are joking?? after paying nearly a grand for this, and the charger wont stay plugged into the adapter? What a joke. Returning immediately. Good job best buy and Microsoft for screwing up the easiest part. Sherwood.

    I loved the Surface Pro 3 while it worked, but that didn't last long. The first Surface Pro 3 I had crashed 2 days after I got it. The system failed to load windows and was stuck in a boot loop. I attempted a full restore from a USB Flash Drive, but that also failed to boot and I am not a novice when it comes to fixing computers. So I return the first one and got a replacement, all was well for the first few days until the battery failed to charge. The system completely died and would not turn on. Being a long time fan of everything Microsoft it really stings to have to go back to an Ipad.. Buyer beware on this product.
