I bought this for grad school after reading many reviews - I already had a great laptop, but the specs were older. I felt I couldn’t justify buying another laptop just to get slightly newer specs, so I opted for the Surface for the additional capabilities that can hopefully be used by the whole family. I love the surface pen and the ability to draw and take notes on the Surface Pro. I find myself wanting to use it primarily as a laptop, so I miss the fact that the screen isn’t hinged to the keyboard, and I must have it on a flat surface like a table or lap desk in order to use it as a laptop. I love that it’s so thin that it easily slips into my zippered portfolio as shown in photo. I also appreciate that skins are so easily available, and I can customize and protect my investment. Overall, it’s incredibly portable and versatile, and I’m looking forward to using it to its maximum potential.

The laptop is fast, easy to use and there is no fan sound at all. Overall the best advantage is the battery life and there is no lag at all.

The Surface Pro is well-built, with a great balance of sturdy and light. I love the built-in stand and the peripherals are made with similar quality. The face recognition of Windows Hello works very well and improves the overall experience more than I expected it to. The hardware is high-performance for the form-factor, so it performs much better than any other 'tablet' I've used, and I've used a number of Android tablets from different manufacturers. My main complaint with the Surface Pro 6 is that the on-screen keyboard doesn't work well and it doesn't come with the "Signature Type" keyboard out-of-box.

I was able to get a KILLER deal for an open box EXCELLENT - $828. A type cover & pen make this device, but you must pay extra for it. I learned pretty quickly that I need a 2-in-1 which functions as a laptop 1st & tablet 2nd. It doesn't fit/stay on my lap. My mom LOVES it though. I wish the Surface Laptop 2 folded 360°, so I'm saving up for the Surface Book 2. I'm hoping Microsoft will update the Surface Book this fall by upgrading the CPU & GPU, changing SSD to one with more efficient write speeds, & also adding a Thunderbolt 3 port. I don't like a metal laptop & the Surface products are great - just need to be updated more frequently. I am impressed that Microsoft follows up with the comments left on Best Buy.

It is a very nice laptop. The ability to use it as a laptop and tablet really great. My complain with it is inhave trouble connecting on wifi’s.

Switched back to surface after a year of using another brand.

My Surface 4 pro lasted about 3.5 years before the charging port started screwing up I'm not sure what happened but it was the perfect laptop/pad for what I needed. I decided to take chance with the Surface 6...it is lot quicker than the 4.

Used iPad until recently. Thought I would give surface pro a try. Have been satisfied with the purchase so far. Other than getting used to the windows format, everything seems to work without a glitch so far.

So the main reason we bought the surface pro 6 was because it was on deal of the day and we ended up saving $600! Plus, that following weekend we had a photo shoot of team and we were able to show the parents their photos of their kids through our brand new surface pro. It has a good size screen so that they can see every detail on the photo! It was super nice displaying our work through the surface pro! I rated it a 4 star because we've been trying to access a notepad but can't seem to. We're not even sure if we need a stylist pen to scribble or if we can use our fingers. I need to double check with the best buy employees who sell their product.

I use this to take notes in class at school. The battery last me a full day (sometimes 2). My only complaint is that I wish there was a USB C port on the device.

First off i am use to apple products. This change took some time to get use to somewhat. I am still after a year tying to get use to this surface pro 6. It is not as user friendly as i want it to be. It does have alot of capabilities. Lots of apps. I can use the xbox app to record school lectures. the camera is good except for the angle during zoom. I have to put a boook under the back part of the laptop. Great product just not too easy to use. Takes a lot of time to use some of the features.

The Surface Pro 6 is perfect if you are looking for smaller platform laptop. I was replacing my tablet but also needed to replace my laptop. Since the function I was using my tablet for could be performed on the Surface I decided to give a try. Works great!. Rapid responses with no lag. Great laptop replacement and tablet replacement but beware, more of a laptop than tablet. A lot Apps that are available on tablets will no be available.

It is lightweight, the keyboard attaches with a satisfying click, it has a great deal of power (I use it to do statistical data processioning). However this is my second PRO - if you (or really a student) bends the pins on the port it is basically over. You have to get a very heavy docking station which negates the whole purpose of a light laptop. The alternative is buying a new one since it is connected to the motherboard.

I have used Surfaces in business for the last three years and they have been a great tool for us. We are a general contractor and these have worked well for viewing drawings out in the field as well as checking email back in the office. People are generally very happy with these machines and as an IT Manager, they are no more difficult to setup or work with than any other laptop.

Does exactly what was expected, Best Buy always my choice for electronics
