My high schooler needed a laptop for his freshman year. The school provided the specs and I printed them off and took the list to Best Buy. I got hooked up on the Student Deal (?) website and an associate guided me through the different options. The surface was the best bale for what we needed and so far it’s working out great.

Wish I had one of these years ago. Great versatility.

Purchased this after my laptop of 6 years threatened to die. Geek Squad made the transition nearly painless as they transferred my files over. Only had to remember the passwords, which these days I keep in a safe place (that I remember!). It's expensive, but if it lasts 6 years like the previous one it will be ok.

I bought this Surface Pro along with the newest version of the MacBook Pro. The Surface Pro was meant for my mother, so coming home from Best Buy we charged both products to test them out later that day. My mother, who is in fact tech savvy, could not seem to connect the keyboard that accompanies the Surface Pro tablet. We thought maybe it was a charging error, so we set the tablet to be charged while being attached to the keyboard. The keyboard at no point turned on. The next day, we headed to the same Best Buy to ask for help or to return the faulty Surface Pro. The Geek Squad attempted to connect the keyboard and Surface Pro, but also failed. They allowed us to exchange it for another of the same Surface Pro 6. Coming home we set everything up again, and found that the keyboard in fact worked. However, this time the tablet asked to be restarted, and it took about 30 minutes for us to realize that it was taking too long to restart. We turned off the tablet and turned it on again. The second time it was on, it asked to be restarted again. The restart took a long time, but it was not as long as the first time. I saw my mother was disappointed with her new tablet/laptop. She did not want to put me through the trouble of returning the Surface Pro again, so she decided to keep it. We’ve had these products for about a month, and the Surface Pro has not popped up with new flaws. Overall, I was very disappointed that this was happening to a product that was new and fresh out of its packaging, TWICE.

The Surface 6 laptop was a great asset to purchase, however, the sales rep was very attentive and pleasant to interact with him. Having said that, the Microsoft software is a pain to deal with them. They keep sending to talk with people from remote countries and most of the time is very hard to communicate...
