Most of the time I use it as a tablet, but when I need to do a lot of typing I just stick the keyboard on. I do have two complaints and that is there is no MicroSD slot like my old Pro 7, nor is there a USB-A port. Nearly all of my flash drives are USB-A so I'll need to buy a dock or something similar.

The best part for me is the changes in the screen shape - the actual Surface is slightly more square than my old one, and the screen image fills more of the space available. This makes a huge difference! There are some quirks that come with a Surface, in my experience, mostly related to the sensitivity of certain keys and touches, but I am accustomed to these, so it's not an issue.

Great Notetaker

I went to both the Apple Store and Best Buy in order to choose between an IPad and a surface. The writing/notetaking functionality was the biggest thing I was looking for. One note has a little bit of a learning curve compared to apple’s os but I am definitely satisfied with the notetaking features.
