Poor battery life

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unfortunately Microsofts claim of 15.5 hours of battery life is far from what the computer actually gets. With general use without graphics heavy programs or gaming the best I have obtained is about 6 hours. If you like to use Chrome or Google docs the battery life drops to around 4 hours. This makes the Surface all but useless as a tablet computer. For travel or work away from home the lack of battery life makes it necessary to carry the charger at all times and requires charging whenever the opportunity is available. Otherwise it works as a tablet computer should. The only other quirk it that you will have to put the computer to sleep if you want to change from the physical keyboard to tablet mode. Microsoft is aware of the issue but has not resolved it. Overall the Surface 9 Pro has been a disappointment.

It asked for an update, and it just stopped working. No one was able to get it working again. So, I bought this new one. Let's see if in two years we will be asked for an update again that will make it stop working too.
