Xbox Fanboys Headset Story
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great ease of use. Mediocre sound quality and not exactly great build quality. My Mic fell apart after about a month of use. As an Xbox fanboy i was devastated.

7 months and it's falling apart
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Little plastic pieces have been coming off for about a month, no big deal becauae they still fit and worked fine. Went to pick them up and play COD tonight and the microphone was just dangling down. Overall, I really liked it, but I can't give a good review if the build quility isn't there. When you spend nearly $100 on a headset, you would hope it can stand up to a big head.

Good, but broke within a month.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I only had them for about a month until they started to break. The first thing that happened was the volume control for game and audio broke and you couldn’t turn either down it was just set at the equal setting. I did not drop them I took great care of them they all just a sudden just died and now I’m experiencing high and low audio sounds out of nowhere.I do really like these headphones but for being Xbox I thought they would be decent and not break so soon they are nice however I’m just disappointed that it broke so soon

Microsoft nailed it with this headset.

Just okay, unimpressed given the price.
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The headset is okay. The quality is typical of Microsoft. The good: -Battery life is great -Easy volume control -Quick wireless connection for Xbox The bad: -The mic picks up EVERYTHING. I have my Xbox set to the lowest environmental sounds and yet all background noise is amplified through the mic. -This is likely just me and my oversensitive ears, but the ear cups actually make my ears pop when I shift them. -Laslty-this headset broke at about 7 months. (7.5 months between purchase date and 5/24 break date, but it was in the original box for a month after I moved). The mic snapped and now dangles by the wire. I tried gluing it back to the right spot but the cord creates too much pressure and it won’t hold. I also want to be clear that I am not beating up on my headset-It’s never been dropped and any time it left the house I placed it into the original box. My $60 Turtle Beach ones sounded better and lasted years without issue, but this $100 headset didn’t even come close. Having a 90 warranty on a $100 piece of equipment is terrible in my opinion.

***DO NOT BUY*** I dont recommend this product
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As you can see based on the picture I take care of my equipment. It’s in great shape, except for the crack in the base. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the Xbox Wireless headset. After taking the headset off the stand and putting it on I noticed the microphone support was snapped. I attempted to super glue it, but it looks terrible. After some research I have found that it’s a common issue for it to crack where mine is cracked. The warranty is only 90 days and Microsoft isn't any help. I cannot and will not recommend Microsoft headsets to anyone until the policy is changed. Unacceptable and disappointing because it’s a great headset otherwise.

Console AND bluetooth for under $100!
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The value is great. Clan mates say the mic quality is great. It connects to and powers on the Xbox series X with ease AND I can use it on my PS5 via the PS App! It even works with Switch now that Nintendo updated for Bluetooth. Every now and then the headset drops the sound for a second when playing on Xbox but never on Bluetooth but other than that this thing is an incredible product for $99

Don't touch the mic
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first, this looks like a great headset, but don't be fooled. If you use voice chat on and off, and adjust the mic as needed, it won't even last a year before the plastic holding it snaps. That specific piece of plastic is hollow, and incredibly thin, so either leave the mic up, or down, but don't ever adjust it, because that's enough to render this, otherwise decent headset, useless.

Highly recommend!! Better than expected.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are fantastic! I have been in the market for full wireless headset that works with our Xbox One but didn’t like the price tag on most of the full wireless sets. When I saw these Microsoft brand as a preorder, I immediately ordered two. I usually do a lot of research before buying something, but figured I trust Microsoft for a reasonable level of quality and great ergonomics. And the price was unbeatable. I’m so glad I did! The headsets paired up with the xboxes just fine. I absolutely love the wire-free experience. Being able to put the controller down and get up to get water, food, or to walk while I hold the baby is so valuable. No more cord draping over a sleeping baby’s head!! The sound quality is good. I typically prefer a flatter response from headphones, these tend to emphasize the bass more. That has worked out pretty well for playing FPS games as the shot deliver more punch than I would expect from a headset. You can also adjust the EQ in the Accessories app. The volume control is fantastic, I love the tactile and easy to reach dial on the right ear cup. I forget which direction the chat/game balance goes, but that’s on me. It’s clearly marked. Muting is quick and easy as well. I used the Turtle Beach headset adapter prior to this, and it is more convenient to have the audio controls on the controller, but having them on the headset is fine. I haven’t done a raid or other more intense activity where voice chat is critical. I have noticed the mic is pretty sensitive to anything in the room. However, there are settings to adjust this in the Xbox Accessories app so I will try that out next. Battery life has been better than expected so far. I got 8 days with about 3-4 hours a day so that’s a lot more than advertised. Again, mostly solo play so maybe being on mute saves battery? There is also a white LED on the end of the mic boom that barely shows in your peripheral vision to let you know the mic is active. Works great! And you can adjust the brightness.

Decent price for the quality
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall good value for price. It lasted me two months before one of the volume adjusters fell off. I’ve tried to glue it back on multiple times; with no success.

Broken After 6.5 Months
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this headset for an Xbox one S originally. When he upgraded they worked just fine and transferred over quite we. We bought these back in October of 2021. the quality of the sound was pretty well for the price we got it at. we took a look at it today as he was cleaning and noticed that the mic was broken and cracked. his last headset was cheaper than this one but lasted way longer. I do not want to try Xbox headsets again for the fear they will crap out again. will be buying turtle beach from here on out as that is what I bought around the same time and they are still going strong.

SImple and solid
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this headset. For the price you really can't beat it. I am fortunate enough to own a PS5 and a Series X and I own both official 1st party headsets as well. In my opinion the microsoft one beats the playstation one in all aspects. the fact that you dont need a dongle is great. Making the volume/chat knobs be on each ear cup is genius. Spatial audio is great and I even bluetoothed these to my phone for some music, It really is a fantastic all around device. The only mild mild complaint is I feel they are a little tight after long periods of gaming and make my ears sweat a hair more than other headsets. But for 100 bucks its a great deal. If you see it in stock I say buy it cause they go fast!

Great Value at an attractive price.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm going to preface this review by first saying that I'm in now way a audiophile, audio snob or audio expert, just commenting from a general users perspective. These headsets offer a very charming value at a very attractive price. I have never owned any sort of high end, top tier studio quality headset, but I've used a Logitech G533 for my pc, and Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen1 for Xbox, so those are a basis for comparison. Audio Quality: I would say Microsoft's offering is very comparable to it's competitors priced at the $100-150 price range. I couldn't find any discernible differences in terms of audio quality, foot steps were audible, sounds were crystal clear. Note that many have said these Headsets are rather Bass heavy out the box, but the EQ settings can be adjusted on the fly within the xbox app. I also had no interference, audio detuning or warping which was a common occurrence on my Turtlebeach, which is what prompted me to purchase these. Range: I'd say the range is about equal to that of the Turtlebeach headsets. Sound did start to cut out when there was several feet of wall between the headset and the xbox. That being said, both headsets range pale in comparison to the Logitech. I can walk to any corner of my house without a single drop of quality from headset and pc. Don't expect to be going terribly far with these headsets without interference. Design/Comfort: These have an really attractive design, with subtle green accents to match the Xbox theme. The leather-like material on the ear cups are the softest and most comfortable material I've worn between all my headsets! It's plush, and i felt no pinch points, and my ears never got too warm and the pressure was just right! The earcups do not fold, twist, pivot or adjust to rest on your shoulders when you take them off but thats a minor gripe. The volume controls are actually on the earcups as rotating dials! This is an amazing feature because you don't need to fumble with dials or buttons at all! One dial controls Master Volume, and the other controls the Voice Chat/Game Chat volume. Voice Quality: Offers great voice quality, again, comparable to my other two headsets, people heard me clearly and had no problems making out anything i said, I was able to make a voice recording on Xbox Messenger and play it back, and my voice sounded good. The Microphone is short but picks up your voice with no issue. Although the mic is flexible and able to bend upwards to be hidden, it doesn't feature a flip to mute feature that both the turtlebeach and logitech have. Build Quality: Solid construction. The headset feels like a premium product, and isn't covered in a plastic shell, and isn't dripping with excessive brand labeling. Additional Features: -Built in Equalizer through the Xbox Accessories app allows you to customize your sound settings to your liking. There are a lot of sound profiles that people online have that might be worth checking out, or you can adjust it to your own personal preference. It would have been nice to see an ability to save sound profiles. - Connect to other devices through Bluetooth. A really handy feature to take phone calls, or listen to music and even speak to people on Discord or other chat platforms while you're still able to play games! This was awesome for when i played with friends on different platforms!
