FAR FAR FAR Better than Expected

Really like this headset more than I thought that I would. I replaced a TB Elite that was more than 5 years old. The Elite was super comfortable and lasted a long time but the plastic in the headband broke. These have a better head band design. They are also wireless which works great. Pairing to the Xbox Series S was simple. Volume and voice chat is controlled by the knobs on the right and left ear cups (the entire exterior part of the ear cut IS the knob). Power button is hidden behind the left ear cup. The mic boom is flexible with a hard plastic end. I generally try NOT to move the mic booms too often as this is usually a potential break point. I have a large head (can’t wear a snap back cap) yet these headphones have plenty of adjustment. They are not all that comfortable with glasses (TB Elite Pro 2 still has the device that makes them comfy for glasses wearers). Go online and look at the videos about adjusting the sound. Once these are paired, you can customize the sound in the XBox accessories app. Very nice! I also paired to my iPhone so that I can use these as a BT headset or listen to music. Overall FAR FAR FAR better than I was expecting at this price point.

I am very surprised with the quality of these. I have Astro A40s, Audio Technicas, Sennheisers; these are very good for what they are. The fact that they are $99 for a pair of wireless headphones that directly connect to your xbox, have rotating cups to adjust audio and chat, and connect to your phone while being connected to your xbox so you can take calls while you game... its pretty amazing. Sound quality is very good. Definitely recommend using dolby atmos with these on your xbox, they really make them come to life. Yes, they do drop connection sometimes for a couple seconds, but thats wifi headsets. Its really nice to have something that easily connects without a dongle. As mentioned above, these do have bluetooth to pair with your phone so you can use them as music headphones also if thats your thing.

I have to give these 5 stars because of the price. I was ready to drop some dough on a pair of headsets for casual gaming. After a good amount of research I decided to go with these. They are ready to go out of the box. I have a big noggin and these are super comfy. Hook right up and play. I would recommend searching some eq settings. I play warzone mostly and these are perfect. So save your money and go with these if you are a casual gamer.

If you can find these & have a Series S/X it's totally worth it. I love the design of the headphones and how you can have both your phone connected to them while gaming through bluetooth. The right headphone controls the gaming volume & the left the bluetooth. A simple design but a brilliant one that works. Also if you compare this to the PS5 Pulse headset (I have both) this one is much better.

Fantastic headset. I used this to replace the standard Xbox wireless headset and it has so many cool quirks, like the sounds being spaceship themed instead of Xbox sounds. The material for the ears is also a big improvement over the Xbox one.

Came to these after two separate much more expensive headsets died on me. I live in an apartment with less than stellar sound insulation, so I use headphones for anything tv related including games. The audio quality is adequate, but I’m not super picky about the sound. Haven’t had any dropouts or lost connection in the couple weeks I’ve had it. The added Bluetooth that allows you to pair and listen to a phone in tandem is also a handy feature. The mic quality is ok, you probably wouldn’t use it for streaming but for standard game chat it’s totally fine. Battery life is good, I’ve used them for a 10ish hour stretch and have yet to get a low battery warning. Charge quickly through USB C. I wouldn’t say they’re comfy to wear, but they don’t cause any aches and I can wear them for hours without issue. But where these shine is the price. Yeah, you can find a headset that sounds better with the same features, but it’ll cost you 3-4x as much. For what you get and compared to what else is out there on the market, $100 is an insanely good price. Microsoft could easily charge $150-$200 for these. Overall very happy.

Really nice headset. Pretty comfortable, audio quality is solid, and the mic is surprisingly great. Offers really easy balance between party chat and in game audio with dial on left ear. Also, it has some fun Starfield sound effects when turning on and off - sounds like a ship revving up for takeoff!

...but they require an EQ change before you do anything else. Out of the box these sound somewhat muddy and bass-heavy, but after tweaking a few EQ settings they sound amazing. Just do an internet search for EQ settings and you'll find topics and videos with suggestions. Make sure you force an update immediately after pairing, too. Out of the box my mic monitoring was not working. I did some research and found many others with the same problem, and they reported a recent updated fixed it. Mine first said no update was available, but I selected "Update" again anyway and it downloaded and installed an update, which fixed the issue. Having the game/chat mix and volume controls on the earpieces is brilliant, and makes it so much easier to fine-tune volume than going into party settings. The only downside to that is it's very easy to accidentally adjust the volume when you take off or put on the headset. They are very comfortable to wear, but the heavy vinyl coating on the ear pieces will no doubt cause some sweating over extended periods. Overall

This headset is great. I bought it back in March of 2021 and it hasn’t failed. The sound is nice and crisp with the right amount of bass. You can also change your audio settings of the headset in its settings along with the microphone settings. The microphone itself sounds amazing too. The ear cups themselves are incredibly comfortable, it’s like a cloud and a light foam came together to make these great ear cups. I have gone up to 6 hours of them on and no pain or marks like you might find on lower end headsets,… well expect for a line on your hair from prolonged use. Now the battery life and charging, I’ve found that about a hour of charge will last my about 3-4 hours and if it’s fully charged about 14 hours. Now a days I don’t really spend as much time playing games but on the weekends I play both days and sometimes the headset can go 3 weeks without charge, and yes it does turn of automatically if you leave it on. My final point, it also can connect to a Apple Mac, iPhone, and iPad, along with a PC. Overall great headset and I would recommend this to anyone.

This is the best headset I could’ve purchased. Sounds quality is amazing for the cost. It’s simple to sync with your Xbox, it will go through updates like the controller and console. When turning the headset on, the Xbox also turns on and when your turn the console off the headset follows in suit. Charging is simple and a light indicates when it needs to be charged. It’s rather comfortable and has an R and L in the ear cups so you wear properly. Volume and other controls and at your fingertips and simple to use. One of my gripes with watching something and plugging a headset in was if your controller turns off you lose the sound. Common sense, I realize, but still. Since this headset connect directly to the console, you can watch or play and that factor isn’t there. Overall, worth the money. Not the most expensive device on the market and I can’t speak for a competitive or more serious gamer, but for the uses my wife and I have with it. Recreational gaming and watching stuff, it does the trick in spades.

Very comfortable, adjustable fit, audio syncs perfectly with good 3d sounds. microphone can easily be turned on and off. favorite thing is adjusting volume by twising the cups clockwise/counter-clockwise. reall affordable for all you are getting. A homerun product for XBOX courtesy of Microsoft.

I was searching for the best wireless headset for my Xbox Series X. There are not many options. The turtle beach ones were not for me. These official Xbox ones definitely were. Holds a charge well. Comfortable. Can connect to the xbox and my phone/pc to use discord/music/whatever. Love the dials on the ears. Right is volume up and down, left is game to chat ratio. I play a lot of COD Warzone, so not having to even hit mute and just rolling that game dial to mute them quick is amazing. Can't recommend this headset enough. Just do it already.

I've had these headphones for a month now. So far, I have no regrets. They sound fantastic. I don't use the chat function so I cannot vouch for how well the microphone works. I use these headphones primarily in the mornings before the rest of my family wakes up. They are easy to turn on and off with a push of a button on the left ear cup. The volume adjustment is a big dial that is part of the right ear cup. Pretty intuitive, I must say. As for comfort of the headband and ear cups, I've had them on for up to 2 hours at a time with no issues. No marathon gaming here but I don't foresee any problem wearing them longer. As soon as they became available for preorder at Best Buy, I jumped at it. I've been shopping for headphones for some time. There are some cheaper ones but the quality was questionable. The more expensive ones were just too much to spend for my situation. In summary, this is a great value at $100. I trust the Microsoft brand.

The sound quality is impressive, offering clear and detailed audio that enhances the gaming experience. The spatial audio technology adds depth to in-game sounds, providing a heightened sense of immersion. Whether it's the subtle footsteps in a stealth game or the explosive soundtrack of an action title, the headset performs admirably. Comfort is key during long gaming sessions, and Microsoft nails it with the lightweight and well-padded design. The ear cups are soft and provide a snug fit without causing discomfort, while the adjustable mic ensures clear communication with fellow gamers. The headset's wireless connectivity is a plus, providing the freedom to move without being tethered to the console or PC. The easy pairing process and compatibility across multiple Microsoft platforms make it a versatile choice for gamers who switch between devices. On the downside, the absence of customizable RGB lighting or additional premium features might leave some enthusiasts wanting more. However, for its price point, the Xbox Wireless Gaming Headset offers a solid balance of performance and affordability. In conclusion, Microsoft's Xbox Wireless Gaming Headset is a reliable choice for gamers looking for a seamless audio experience within the Xbox ecosystem. With its comfortable design, immersive sound, and versatile compatibility, it's a valuable addition to any gaming setup.

I ordered these and I love them so much more than my Turtle Beach, Stealth 700 V2. Easy chat/game mixer and easy volume knob. Love that the mic lights up when it is on and the best part are the on/off noises that sound like the ship powering up for on and powering down for off along with the sounds of comms on ond off when you mute and unmute the mic. Overall super satisfied for the price out of the box. Now I look forward to the longevity and reliability to come.

For $99, possibly cheaper on sale, you cannot beat the Xbox Wireless Headset if you are playing on Xbox and want wireless connectivity. The headset is very comfortable and has ample adjustability. The sound is deep and you can EQ it using the Xbox software. I personally use Dolby Atmos for headphones but it's not a must have. The volume is very good, no complaints there. The controls are easy to find, the volume wheel is very handy and easy to use. The headset feels more expensive than it costs. No issues with connectivity and the battery lasts a long time. Buy with confidence!

Decent gaming headphones for the price. Had steelseries Arctis 9x before and these and will say that those were much better but also double the price. Sound quality for music is ok due to so much bass, for games it’s on par with the steelseries after EQ changes and Dolby atmos. Pairs beautifully with console and phone simultaneously. Mic quality good, have had no friends complain or talk about a difference between these and the steelseries. Battery life is great. Overall 7.8/10, great value for the money especially for a Bluetooth headset not as good as it’s more expensive counterparts but is a fantastic option if you don’t want to spend a lot.

I’m by no means an expert on gaming headsets but I do enjoy this set quite a bit. I typically stick in the $40 range but decided to preorder to pair with my series x. The battery life seems to be at least 10-12 hours. I haven’t really tested for longer because i charge them after long sessions. I’ve never had any disconnection issues with these either. You can tweak your audio settings through your Xbox menu to get a customized sound. To me they sound great but I’ve never used a $200+ set before so I have no basis of comparison. I haven’t tried the mic out because I’m not much of an online gamer. They are reasonably comfortable. I have a big head and wear glasses so I’m never completely comfortable with any headset but these aren’t bad. Obviously they’re not flashy looking, but they match the clean aesthetics of the series x having the matte black body with the Xbox green trim around the headphones.
