I don't think it lived up to the hype, but that's just me.

Yes. A game. A game using modern technology to make itself look like it's from 1988. It's simple and complicated. It can consume you or you could walk away from it easily. I'd just like to have 1% of the revenue from this game so I could pay off my house.

was gift for my nephew, he loves it. best buy makes it very simple to shop for games online. just have to be careful because this game comes with the xbox system also. don't buy by mistake

Problems with game. Different than the one for 360

Bought this for my nephew who is a Minecraft addict. His parents bought him Minecraft story mode but it’s not the same game. His face lit up when he opened my present.

My daughter absolutely loves this game. The employee helped me find this game because I was already out of breathe trying to make decisions and getting other purchases.

Its Minecraft ha! My son is happy to have gotten it.

not that good you think the world would be nice think twice you lose everything fast no way to find your way home and randum booming guys distroying your hard work still fun to build stuff

Bought for my 6 year old so he could play online with his cousin that lives 2 states away. He LOVES this game, and is able to interact with other actual people.

Purchased this game for my son for getting a good report card. Not your pricey $60+ xbox one game but he really wanted it and really enjoys playing it. He plays it a lot.

My kids love Minecraft! they have it on every system we own. Just cant get enough. I enjoy the updates they do every so often. Adds alot more fun to the game

My 4 year old asked to play this so I picked it up. It has now become the game we play together. We play in creative mode and it's a nice alternative to other games.

I think I now own Minecraft on at least 5 platforms. No complaints, kids definitely getting their Minecraft fix. Xbox One version runs smooth and fast.

I bought this for my boyfriend as a Valentine's day present and my only complaint is that I can't get him to stop playing it :) fun and cool graphics!

Every child I know has played this game, my kids included! They all love it! Would have given this 5 stars if they priced it a little less given the excessive returns the developers have already made over the past years.

It was awesome to look up availability online prior to purchasing in store. We had trouble with that the day before with a competitor. Thank you Best Buy!

I have enjoyed watching my kids play Minecraft, and enjoyed playing Minecraft with them, for years. We have played it on PC, iPad, tablets, Droid and iPhones, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, and have had great experiences with it on every platform we've tried. I recently re-discovered Minecraft after a few years away when my girlfriend's son discovered it, and I am blown away at how much additional content (textures, colors, animals, mobs, tools, etc.) has been added to the game. It's no wonder this game continues to have this much staying power after this many years. Now that my oldest has moved away, I am no longer able to play his copy of Minecraft on the Xbox One at my home. I purchased a copy of Minecraft Xbox One Edition so that I could play with my girlfriend's son over Xbox Live when I am not with them. However, he purchased the current download version of Minecraft (which is just titled "Minecraft", not "Minecraft Xbox One Edition" - IT IS IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCE - The old disc version, which is what I purchased, evidently can NOT be played online with other players using the current download version (I believe the current version is unofficially called the "Better Together" update, and it is supposed to allow cross-play between Xbox, PC, Mobile and other versions of Minecraft - but evidently NOT the version I purchased.) If there is an update available that will make this version of the game compatible with the newer version, I was unable to find it on Xbox.com or minecraft.com. If you or your kids do not play Minecraft online with other gamers, this version is probably fine, but otherwise I recommend you avoid purchasing this particular edition of the game and download it instead. TL;DR I still HIGHLY recommend this game, just not this particular version of it.

This game is good but on PC you don't have to pay for skins, texture packs or most other extras. I would rather play it on PC but to play with friends, the xbox version is easier with the party system.

The xbox one version is definitely one of the better choices if you don't want to play pc as it is one of the best running and most updated ones.

Like the mobile application, but many more options. My kids love this game and I think it helps them build STEM skills, without them really knowing it.
