Not exactly easy to jump into and fun once you get into it. Not recommended for those that are only looking to play a handheld game for a few short minutes.

Immersive, time consuming, difficult but rewarding

I've been with Monster Hunter since I first played Freedom Unite on the PSP and this series never disappoints. The latest entry to the series not only adds online for the portable games for the first time, but a host of new features, new moves, and a host of new content. A truly must have for any Monster Hunter fan.

Pretty true to the first three in the series. Lots of 'grinding', but still very fun. Graphics are great.

You hunt monsters to upgrade your gear to hunt bigger monsters to upgrade your gear to hunt bigger monsters. The fights are unique and quite challenging in the later hunts, making sure that you don't start to steamroll your targets. Bring some friends along to help out or make the hunts more interesting.

The Monster Hunter games are classics, and this one takes full advantage of the Nintendo 3ds...so much so, that you need a New Nintendo 3DS to actually play it. Still worth every penny!

This game is massive, but it has a lot to do. Something like +100 hours of stuff to do. I'm still in the beginning, but loving the characters and gameplay. The music's catchy as well.

This game got really repetitive after a while. I played for 50 hrs and lost all interest in the end-game. it was fun while it lasted though.

Monster Hunter 4 is a complex action offline and online RPG. It has a multitude of different play types and has a very steep learning curve.

These games spawned an entire genre and this one is the best of the lot, in my opinion. It looks great on the 3DS, too. Give it a try.

when it comesto monster hunter game,it is one of the most fun,addicting and intense game to play specially in co-op mode, hunting monsters, doing quest,gathering items/supplies and all that. monster hunter is the Ace for nintendo. i couldnt stop playing since i pop the gamecard open.

If anyone has played previous iterations of this series then this new one will not disappoint. The climbing mechanics as well as the massive amounts of new things you can craft from old to new monsters is insane. Highly recommend this game if you can manage the camera to move around.
